What do they mean by new? Does anyone who bought a 5s at launch get them?

That is the million dollar question but it's probably just for new iPad and Macs only. Care to wager a bet b/c I am feeling quite confident on this one lol.

Why are app updates part of this? Shouldn't they just talk about the new devices? You don't see Google go up during a Nexus launch and talk about Gmail or Google Drive...All these should only be there if they're part of the OS(Google Now) or requires a certain OS to run it (ALA Google Voice/Now), which iLife is neither...

Why should they put boundaries on what they choose to talk about? Let them have their 5 minutes (in this case about 2 hours or so).

Simple answer. Apple is not Google and vice versa. Apple didn't said in the invitation that it's only all about new ipads and macs.... And it kills time. It's better to see free app updates than their live demos to kill time. Anyway, nice move my apple to bundle their apps with new idevices adding more value to their products. I think bad for profits though.
