Apple's profit last quarter was 143% of Amazon's lifetime earnings

With a market capitalization of $943.4 billion at the end of last week, Apple is now just a 6% rally away from becoming the world's first $1 trillion public company. Amazon, which many felt would overtake Apple to reach the one trillion mark first, needs to see its shares rally 29% to reach the 13 figure mark. But Apple's shares really popped since the beginning of the month, thanks to two events...

Apple is killing the game right now. Haters gonna do just that, but Apple’s momentum can’t be denied. Like I said, the X is just a few features (mostly multitasking), from being about the best there is on the market. I’m all over the 6.5, as speculation points to it having split view and picture in picture. Bring it on.

If we’re being honest, you post like a damn idiot, and I wish you’d never respond to me ever again. This will be my last response to you, cause I don’t deal with the site trouble makers. GO AWAY TROLL!!!

@Nimbus What's the big deal if darkk switches among those devices? He is a consumer just like us and he has the capacity to pay for what he wants. Sometimes, people are getting too attached to the brand of the device they were using..what a life.

I appreciate what you saying and it’s so true. But it’s almost a waste of effort with all the pessimism on n here about just about everything especially apple.

Cocoy the guy doesn't want to admit politely even when he had buy their devices back then, today he is showing no respect to these companies since how this evolution of smartphones took place before iphone revolution,he act like he didn't had any of these companies smartphones even when they were popular in his country before iphones and samsung.i don't have any problem with him but he lying and betraying these past companies over today companies is so undeniable i mean he does have a past list of smartphones he had owned when had his first one way before iphones and samsung s phones till today with his samsung note 8.Go ahead i see what he is now upto.

Cocoy I agree with ur points there u didn't said anything wrong people do switch brands but atleast this guy should pay heed, respect to these companies for letting allowing him a communication devies to talk among his well known people way before these android, iphones smartphones existed before these 10 years of revolution since its introduction in 2007,2008.

Dude, a device is just a thing people use to do stuff; once a device is no longer useful to me, I change it; and once a company is no longer capable to create useful devices, I forget about it and MOVE ON.

I don’t understand his logic. By his logic, I should still have the 1976 Pontiac Grand Prix, I bought at age 18 as my first car...even though I blew the motor, U joints, and Pontiac caved in 2008.

Maybe this is a way some people cope with their hollow lives... I have never understood why some are trying to "sell me" their favorite device when my needs are different. I have never understood why on earth should I defend everything (even the bad parts) about iOS/Android just because I like it better. I have never understood why on earth would one care that I buy cheap/expensive s**t that I like, as long as I use my own money. etc I know it's useless to think this comments bring value, but I'm an incorrigible optimist so I keep on looking :).

Well said. Its gotten crazy on this site, the trolls feel you have to use what they use, or approve of of get bashed. I’m iOS and Android, and currently using (typing from an iPhone), they can attack me all they want. I live in the real world, and will use what I want. Let em have there fun Leo. You and I have had our tech differences, but never did it get to this point (like Nimbus is doing lol). Enjoy your tech man. Typed from my iPhone X.

Yes, we had our tech differences and [hopefully] we will be having them in the future; this can be a good thing, because we are all different and we should at least listen to each other. It's OK if one believes my way of thinking is dumb, it's not OK when one is trying to impose one's point of view. Everybody have a great week!

OMG, dude are you for real, LMAO They are F-ing phones and phone companies, pay respect to a phone and company, OMFG Do you think they respect you, NO, all you are to them is their cash cow other wise they care nothing about you.

I can’t believe he’s riding me about this lol. It’s all he’s done, since he made his account. It’s like he made the account specifically to try to bother me. He’s also lying. Reading his posts is like navigating blindly thru a landmind field, hoping to not hit one...not gonna happen.

I know, LOL He is so worried that you might not be showing respect to phone's you might have used years a go, lol I mean how dare you, lol I can give a rats ass about the phones I used in the past, all that matters is the one I am using now.

Right on sis. He calling me a Nokia fanboy, I’ve had one e71 in 08, when I wasn’t even on this site lol. Right now, I have my Note 8, and bought another X, cause I missed iOS access in my pocket. Now the haters will really be mad.

I’m loyal to my wife, family, and friends you stupid fool. Rich tech companies, who don’t know I even exist, can never have my loyalty. And for the record Nimus doesn’t speak for me...he can’t even properly compose his rants.

Well I know u have owned few Htc,motorola,Nokia smartphones very well in the past when u have ur 1st smartphones way before iphones and Samsung note revolution. Those companies were popular back in those days in USA when u were in ur 20s before ur family before ur iphones,Samsung smart phones came in ur life.I'm sure u have ur list of smartphones history in ur memory very well u don't want to admit it as ur behaving like a new guy to us who has owned only Samsung, apple phones.i know u have htc smartphones like htc evo 3d,touch diamond which u said in past articles of htc and motorola features phones and nokia symbian os smartphones before android and apple iphones.i'm not hating u it's just didn't like how u direspect these companies and betraying as they didn't created phones evolution before iphones,Android revoultion.Go on what u want to say to me but i tell u what i won't even mind it if ur dont want to tell us in this tech forum even u like tech urself.

What few features do you feel the iPhone X is missing? Do you miss having touch ID?

hey, just want to officially announce that I got a new phone yesterday as well as switching over to verizon from att. took advantage of the verizon deals (thanks to updates on all these deals on PA). so i'm not an android user anymore - i decided that i already have an ipad, lets try an iphone (again). first impressions: face id is fantastic, u forget that your phone actually locks and unlocks after a day of use oled screen - no difference from my ipad screen control center is pull "down" unlike ipad, but same as my note havent played with camera too much, so standby for now AR apps are freaken awesome some of the new gestures i'm still getting used to, but the rest were like second nature havent charged the phone yet since opening the box so battery seems great all apps i installed so far are all optimized to the x screen the notch looks modern, watching movies and looking at photos on a full screen feels so cool google services and apps work just as well on ios as they did on android and are all optimized to the notched screen anyways apple did a good job here, build feels solid, black chrome on the bezel and apple logo looks great. finally a device without ugly FCC wording lack of 3.5mm jack seems overrated - been using wireless on note, will continue on x. dislikes: gotta swipe down to see battery percentage some of the initial syncing from ipad and transferring contacts required some effort - thought it would be easy to omit or select what to move - its either all and then manually organize/delete/edit i felt verizon employee was hasty to get me out of the store - didnt even complete att to verizon switch, he said it should work in a few minutes, i had to finish his job myself later and was finalized next morning rear camera is fugly waiting for my leather case in the mail that should smooth out that protrusion (even samsungs old phones rear camera doesnt protrude as much) afraid for glass front and rear, being very careful until case arrives bottomline: dont care for fanboy hate and lack of logic - x is great device, many things are better than my note will let you know (if you care) if i miss any android features

Please explain your reasoning? And for the love of God, don’t say something ridiculous like “They make such and such worse than their competitors” because that had nothing to do with their elevated value.
