Apple launches Food and Drink category in the App Store
Apple has now launched a new category on its App Store dedicated to food and drink. So now, developers will have one place where they could place all their recipe books, restaurant recommendation and reviews apps

Even though the section just launched, it’s already full of apps that Apple has carefully picked and moved there. Previously, recipes and all other wine and dine type of apps were mostly in the Lifestyle category, which now gets more about style and less about food.

Apple has been contacting developers and letting them know about the change in the last couple of weeks. So far, there are more than 2,800 paid and 4,000 free apps for the iPhone and some 1,200 paid and 1,000 free for the iPad.

Too bad there's not an app to make these fat asses put down their smart phones and work out.
