Apple iPhone 6 vs Samsung Galaxy S5: in-depth specs comparison

The Apple iPhone 6 is no longer hidden below a thick veil of mystery, as Apple finally revealed the much-awaited flagship at a “historic” event today. After several years of dwelling in the realm of 4-inch displays, the iPhone lineup has finally scored a pretty substantial bump in its display size – from 4” all the way up to 4.7”, finally putting it (sort of) closer to the size league of its Android rivals, most of which have been hopping over the 5” inch barrier for quite some time now...

IPod touch design? Minor upgrade . I'm so surprised that most of the people complain about the 6 months cycle of Sony whereas compare to iPhone that 6 months have significant improvement . Now iPhone it took a year for these so called upgrade. Amazing . Anyways by the end of the day it's preference . Good luck apple lovers.

but we have to give credit to Apple for once again pushing its limits, mmm excuse me, which limits you are talking about? Apple is trying to catch the others since IP5....

The Sony Z3 makes the iPhone 6 look like a bad joke... Oh well, i5heep fans will flock to their maker and buy it anyway. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA!

I feel this write-up isn't helping me at all because all of the information is based "on paper". User experiences or real life tests are much more practical.

Its funny how PA is really trying to avoid and play down the fact that apple has kept the resolution of the new iphone low. I've read it several times now that "nobody will notice" and its "next gen". I've read plenty of mid tier android handset reviews where Phonearena has described the 720p resolution as good but not flagship!!

+1 to you, sir! For example, everybody bashed the Moto X one year ago when it had a 720p display at a flagship price, but now that the iPhone 6 has a barely more than 720p display at a flagship price, "nobody will notice" and it's "next gen". This is a pathetic bias by iPhoneArena...

What is this sentence PA? :"One of the upper hands the iPhone 6 has over the Galaxy S5 is the OIS (optical image stabilization) aboard." Does Iphone 6 has OIS or the one who wrote this article is cucu crazy? From what I know iphone 6plus has OIS and the 4.7" model that you are comparing in this article lacks OIS.

This. Their last article "9 things that could have made the iPhone 6 better," they mentioned higher resolution and OIS. Here they're saying it has OIS... PA is drunk.

It could be Ray, but we should excuse him, maybe his tears, after all the criticism the iP6 and toyWatch has received, are bothering him while typing.

Drunk indeed, they are spreading false information about the camera too, just to make it seems as good as the Galaxy S5. It is clearly stated that the iPhone 5S had 1.5 micron pixels, the iPhone 6 was also advertised as having 1.5 micron pixels and also being 8mp, if they had increased the sensor size to 1/2.6" as PA said the pixels would be larger and not the same size, or should i say the sensor is exactly the same size as the one on the 5S.

I think they should compare the iPhone 6 to the Samsung Galaxy S3. That would be a much better comparison.

No need to get mad kiddo. 13mp, bigger battery, quad core, 2gb of ram, sd card and the list can go on and on, so yeah he got every right to ask for that comparison. Still, I wouldn't go as far as to ask for a iP6 vs S3 comparison, I would love an iP6 vs S2 comparison.

S3 had a 8MP camera.
