Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C both to be released October 25th
Just recently, we passed along to you a report that the Apple iPhone 5S and the low-cost Apple iPhone 5C would both be introduced by Apple on September 10th. And while that is important to know, it is only half of the story. The actual release date is the more important half of the equation. Knowing the release date gives those early adopters an idea when they will have to call in sick to work, and make excuses to friends and family so that they can wait on line for a few days to buy the next iteration of Apple's smartphone.

Now, a published report gives us an actual launch date of October 25th for the Apple iPhone 5S and Apple iPhone 5C. According to the report, the reason for the 6 week delay is that Apple will also be working on the fifth iteration of the Apple iPad and the Apple iPad mini 2. The Apple iPhone 5S is expected to feature an 8MP camera with an improved f/2.0 aperture for improved low-light photography. A faster A7 processor will be under the hood and a higher capacity battery will be found inside. Sure, it makes the phone a little heavier than the Apple iPhone 5, but the longer battery life makes it worth the small bump in heft. And let's not forget the fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button.

The Apple iPhone 5C is the budget version of Apple's smartphone and is expected to offer a plastic build in order to keep the build cost down. Apple hopes to sell the device in emerging markets to compete with low priced Android and Windows Phone models.

The source that came up with the October 25th launch date was the same source that apparently forecast last year's release date for the iPhone 5. With that in mind, you might want to circle October 25th on your calendar and start making plans for that long wait on line. And just to make you laugh, we brought back the video made just before last year's launch of the Apple iPhone 5 when a local New York Fox reporter used a video about an iPhone 5 concept model and thought it was the real thing.
