Apple iPhone 5S GFX benchmarks show Apple was telling the truth

The Apple iPhone 5 is a fast phone. The Apple iPhone 5S is faster based on GFX benchmark testing; the Egypt 2.5 HD test shows offscreen 1080p (FHD) results of 56 frames per second for the next iteration of Apple's full-price handset. That is a remarkable rise compared to the 29.8 frames per second scored by the Apple iPhone 5...

Seems like a roughly two -fold GPU speed improvement. I don't know where the Epic games' CEO got the "five times" faster idea from

If you know so much why didn't you post the numbers of Snapdragon 800. Also, tell me which snapdragon 800 powered phone will get infinity blade 3?

What's the point of playing a superbly graphic intensive game if you can't play it on a HD screen ? let alone full HD display. Maybe since Jony Ivy, never comes out of that room with white background no one told him the year is 2013 and even mid-range phones have HD displays !

Resolution doesn't matter as long as pixel density and moreover screen quality and color reproduction is good. The iPhones display is bright, vibrant and beautiful. It beats sonys triliminos display.

"Resolution doesn't matter as long as pixel density and moreover screen quality and color reproduction is good." You don't realize what you are talking.

I like iOS because it is fast fluid and elegant and always gets the best games before the competition. The best tablet and the most powerful tablet runs iOS. And now that iWork and iLife will be free with new ios devices, the iPad 5th generation is going to crush the competition.

Most powerful?? Not sure about that. Any of the tablets running Windows would be more powerful. Ful Windows not the RT version.

Look of design is just a subjective opinion, everyone may understand it different. While Windows tablets are way more useful and practical and this is a fact!

iWork + iLife + iOS >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>windows tablets If you have ever owned an iPad you would know what I am talking about.

Windows OS based tablets are more useful and practical because of the OS.

Ever heard of da note 10.1(2014)? Let me compare a few basic things-it has 3gigs RAM vs 1gig. I shouldnt explain dat da exynos 5420 is powerful dan ur ipad's A6x. U might fight back wid ur gpu, well da 5420's is better.how? Da 5410's was not as gud as ur A6x's gpu (by lil') but da 5420's is 50% better dan da 5410's, so its natural dat da 5420's gpu is better dan da A6x's Too confused here's a short version-NO DA iPad ISN'T DA MOST POWERFULL TABLET

okay then, lets see the real world performance

iPad 4 was the most powerful tablet for its time. You are comparing an old tablet to a brand new one. iPad 5 vs note 10.1 (2014) would be a fair comparison. And yes in GPU performance and in real world performance the ipad 5 will crush your crappy plastic tablet!

I agree with all those sentiments, but a 4" screen in 2013 for multimedia and browsing? Come on now... that's far too small.

Yes and look at the size of all Snapdragon 800 devices. Huge because of the huge battery it takes to run the chipset. Apple manages to fit the same performance into a much smaller device with half the battery yet has the same endurance.

Because of 2 GB RAM, let's wait for comparison.

Who the hell wants to game on a small ass 4in screen?? It makes no sense that Apple throws these gimmicky marketing numbers and words at the consumer. The average consumer can care less about 64-bit chip Apple claims that is revolutionizing the industry. What a waste, I can't wait to see Tim Cook jump off a building when Apple folds. I despise apple but I did like Jobs, he was innovative which made or a competitive market. At this rate Apple will be contending with Nokia pretty soon.

Just a question, if iPhone 5s scores 53 fps at 1136x640 and some Android phone scores the same 53 fps but with 1920x1080, does this mean that Android is more powerful? I mean, on my desktop, when I play games, if I set the resolution to maximum, I get only 60fps. But when I set it to lower resolution, it can easily double the fps. So, an Android Phone generating 53 frames per second at FULL HD 1920x1080 is obviously more powerful than a Phone that can only produce 53 fps at 1132x640. Also, is it possible to set GFXBench to test the HTC One or the Note 3 with lower resolution, let's say a measly 1132x640. Maybe they can easily double or triple their output.

Yes. Any "mid range" Android running IOS would be neck and neck or better than any iPhone in performance and benchmarks. It is up to you whether or not you think software or hardware plays a more important role in performance but yes, Android phones are definitely more powerful.
