did you not see the gaming demo?
the processor will be capable
there is not need to blow your budget on the fastest thing out there when you won't even use it
ios is still the center of the app world
most apps are coded with that in mind
so even if you have the newest android with a hexa-core server processor and 2gb or ram
nothing is being designed to really use that, so it is irrelevant
everything that is on the ios store is going to be tailormade for the iphone and so it is going to work beautifully on the new, more powerful, a6 processor
the bulk of current android phones are not the cutting edge, so there isn't really an impetus to create games that require that much processing power
awesome processors are cool
but i don't see how it really matters whether or not the new one x+ or the iphone 5 or the lumia 920 have the fastest processor on the market
i care about having an awesome expereince with my device
not being able to compare penises in the shower
if you will allow me to mix my metaphors like that to get the point across

edit: also, they are improving the technology, but going back to not blowing the budget, there is no reason to put a ps3 processor when no one is going to have the budget or the ability to create or market something like that in such a way as to get money. have you been following the semi-crisis in the regular video game world?

Most iOS games go to Android as well. Android has all of the games that iOS has, except for Infinity Blade and maybe a few others.
Look, I'm tired. I don't want to have a little pissing contest here. I dislike iOS and apparently, you hate advancement in technology. Go away.

that is my point, they all eventually go to android
ios sets the standard
so you can have a desktop core i7 processor and dedicated graphics card in your android phone and it won't mean a thing because the standard is ios right now (which is kind of a bad thing honestly)
i don't hate technology updates
i just hate it when people get on apple or wp8 for not having the most cutting edge of the cutting edge
because it is irrelevant
the expereince, not the stats matter
if they can do it on a single core, marvelous
but they aren't, the new processor is still twice as powerful as the old
that is advancement
its just rational advancement, not a mindless race to the top that splinters the operating system, like what has happened to android

One thing I have to give them credit for is having a quadcore chip with LTE already. Just saying. Everything else is blah, but I personally thought that was good they have that going for them lol. Other than, where the heck is/are my next nexus phone(s) google?

I think the phone is great. Ya, its not a complete redesign, but I dont think it needs to be. I love the look of the iphone. Bigger screen, LTE, and the A6 are all great upgrades.

Every thing about the iPhone 5 is as expected and its a bit date after recycling for 3 years.

i prefer the Razor M, 4.3-inch qHD 540 x 960 Super AMOLED screen with the same foot print.

Of course, Apple fan don't have a choice will just buy whatevery apple sell.

Yeah this new Iphone is really a catch up phone, and not a good one. Iin my honest opinion in terms of excitment im just as excited as the iphone 4s maybe a little more but not by much

I've observed iPhone's announcement has a lot of features boasting improvements over speed. I thought iOS was already the smoothest and stablest OS. How much more speedier does it need to be?

oh, just like android was perfect
except wait we need project butter

everything is like that

choose a field, software, hardware, make up, food
it's called marketing, everything is always improving

did you really just say what you said?

i will be purchasing one... i'll give windows phone another year before i take my business there :-)

i like the iphone 5 but more excited about iOS 6 its always good to get updates on your phone no matter what type of phone it is...

as far as the "what new features" comment above... these features are totally new to iPhone... of course android has those features already.

Gentlmen, I disagree. Perhaps a 'solid upgrade' to the OG iPhone 2007 but not to the iPhone 4S.

Lets look at the iCrap 5 release ... same old s**t - new box - ohh a lil longer! :P A6 processor *slated* to be faster than the i5 .. may i request for the FIPS and MIPS and quadrant scores on both please. Non standard 1136*640 resolution, Same pixel density as the earlier device, Same old camera, some improvement on the front cam shooting at 1.2 MP and 30fps - useful if you need to shoot yourself for a porn flick. different models for gsm/cdma (A1428/A1429) instead of a world phone like the 4S. Cut the SIM card even more - more headache for the operators and just in case you run out of juice ... hold the sim card and wonder wtf to do till u get an adapter - for an adaptor to fit a microSIM and then to a normal SIM which can fit all other phones.

Headphones ... BOSE its time you sue a lil bro apple for copying the QC in ear model .. where I pretty clearly recall the same images being used in the representation about the design....

People will still buy it because they want to prove how loyal they are to apple. Well, enjoy :)

new thinner and lighter box
you will get your ratings on the new faster processor
apps are created for ios, so it is the standard
how many more pixels do you need (please provide an example of android or wp8 that is signficiantly higher)
even if it were exactly the same performance as the previous, it is thinner, which is actually pretty amazing. do you know anything about cameras?
...or if you like to chat with your friends in good video quality
right, because you are definately going to miss 4g in india. it's not like the current scandal is for 2g or something. oh wait
most people in the western world have just one sim. that doesn't make sense in india, i will give you that. so buy a micromax phone. matter finished
some people just buy it because they want a slick looking, capable phone. some people irrationally like apple. some people get them as presents. let's have a little tolerance, shall we?

Why apple didn't launch it last year? galaxy note 2 and optimus g has beastly specs, moreover Samsung manage to provide software enhancements and innovations, apple today nothing to show. It's ios 6 is still can't compete with ics and jelly bean in terms of features and functions. I will still stick to android, iphone 5 definitely not for me. Galaxy note 2 is all I need.

Can someone tell me whats the back made of.. Glass, alu or what?

the top and bottom edges are glass and the middle is alu. this means you will still have to be careful about dropping your phone. Plus aluminium is pants for reception.. not a very good design in my opinion.

i agree, nfc would be nice
but what mainstream thing is it really used for?
in the next year i think it will become increasingly more important to have nfc
but right now we just mostly have things like automatic alarm clock docks and starbucks
