You are right! I am letting myself be brought down to taco50's level & I shouldn't. Thank you for showing me the light. taco50 was leading me down the downward spiral. I will keep all my points objective cause lately I have been messing with him a little! lol

Thank you Whateverman. I love the Android vs. Apple threads. But they used to be entertaining and informative. I learned a ton from them, and still do. But the name calling and labeling everyone you do not agree with as a liar is getting old. While taco may be digging his heels in as a iPhone supporter, if you look at past threads it is usually someone else who gets insulting with him. There are more Android fans on these posts then Apple fans, so people tend to gang up. I have posted a few times that things need to lighten up. I am glad you spoke up.

Agreed. I don't like being antagonistic anymore; this bulls**t (instigated by pretty much everyone, even myself, I'll have to admit) needs to stop. We don't have to be at each other's throats over phones.

Well what whateverman said doesn't only apply to iPhone users. The iPhone 5 hasn't even been announced and it's already drawing criticism from all corners. So if you really agree you'd stop raising havoc and wait for the release/unveiling before criticizing and comparing. But hey do I really expect you to understand? You're the same guy who thinks that a consumer's intelligence level can be inferred from what device they own! lol You must have an iPhone cause you're a total idiot

So... 12% of smartphone users do NOT use their smartphones to make phone calls? This just goes to show how flawed polls such as this are.

I agree with Whateverman. I recently found out what the i in the Apple products stands for (idiot). For real that is Steve Jobs' idea of a joke. Those who are technology idiots, can have it dummed down for them. Sorta like the cliff notes of the technology world. Also why give these "idiots" the best technology when they don't even know what cutting edge is. Give them last year's technology in a shiny package and they won't know the difference. I guess that makes them true idiot's. For those of us who know better and care, will keep on with the Android platform, while it remains cutting edge.

Ok have fun with your cutting edge tech while having no battery life. Last years tech is faster then what 99 percent of people need while giving advantages such as battery life and a small package. Not only that but its put in a nice package with tons of multimedia. Your brainwashed into android open your mind. Ios and android are both good but they are for different people.

I'm pleased to say that the battery on my Android easily lasts all day and then some.

That's with after-market mods but enlightened consumers will at least educate themselves on the subject of user-mods, given that an enlightened consumer will also most likely know that Android is open source, and what exactly that means.

The phone in my pocket is just as good as phones currently being released (in their stock incarnations) and it's over a year old.
And the thing is, once my phone gets official 2.3, it'll be even more of a beast than it already is. Having run leaks I am already aware of the incredible improvements made to data networking speeds, most importantly, since the phone already runs flawlessly with no hang-ups.
iPhoner's who jock Steve Jobs every word always talk about "force closes, lag", etc, but I would be willing to bet that the majority of them havn't used an Android handset for any LENGTH of time, and if they did it was years back... Whatsmore, chances are they didn't even look into what an open source operating system could do for them.

I can easily get two days from my iPhone with mods. I have had a thunderbolt its barely faster then a iPhone with 1/4 the battery life.

The Tbolt uses a snapdragon chipset witch sucks for battery life and an undersized battery as well as using LTE. If your not in a 4g area, turn that radio off.. lol. There are many better android phones to do a battery comparison to than a Tbolt.

Why do people get so upset when then see how much everyone likes the iphone. its a superior product why wouldn't people like it the best. What doesnt make sense is why any one would buy something other than the iphone.

Exactly why get mad people are buying the best? I guess the others are just too poor to buy an iPhone and won't to make themselves believe their crapdroid is better.

Hey taco, I make enough money to buy the idiot phone if i wanted crap technology.

To respond to biophone..... First off I knew buying my phone DriodX, how many mAh my battery was. Unlike Apple that won't give you exact specs. Secondly I have the option to upgrade my battery as my device opens up easily. Not like the "don't look at the crap that's inside" approach of Apple. would you buy a car without looking under the hood and at the spec sheet. You are right both phones are for different people, your's for idiot's ours for knowledgeable professionals.

listen and listen good mr. "I"... dont relay so much on specs..because ..specs wont tell you the reality of the product... and you are an idiot plus if you only relay on specs.. you look under the hood of the car. but guess what.. u test drive... ok . maybe not you since you are so smart... right... and lastly u making money doesnt make you smart. as we just read...

Smart man over here. We buy phones you buy specs. We like functional you not so much. androids are good and so is the iPhone but specs is not what make them so.

The thing about the iPhone is you don't need to open up the back it lasts by itself.

People buy other products because they don't see what you see and vise versa. What is perfect for you isn't always perfect for others. Personally, I love Hondas because of their reliability, ride, comfort, and durability. I recommend them to anyone I talk to about cars and trucks. But I don't tell them their Chevys (didn't look right as Chevies), Fords, Mazdas or whatever they drive sucks. They bought what they liked and that's all that is important.

speaking about cars, i prefer toyota's. since i live in africa, and almost every road here is like an off-road rally stage, the only cars that work well here are 4x4s. i have a Toyota Prado 2011 and Toyota Fortuner. bith of them are amazing actually, tho the Prado is more rugged, and the Fortuner is more comfortable. it depends on the job you need actually.
Most Honda's aren't really good off-road :P no offense to anyone who likes Hondas.

iPoop, I just Googled the Toyota Prado. That's a really nice lookin ride you got there! I think here in the US, the Toyota Prado is called the Landcruiser, and I love the Landcruiser! I don't really need a 4x4, but the Toyota Sequoia is one of the trucks I'm considering for my next vehicle. If only the had a hybrid version.

thanks :D
the Landcruiser isn't the Prado :P
they look similar, but there's a difference, like the Prado is a ruggedised (is that a word?) version of the Landcruiser
I don't actually like hybrids :P
The Prado is diesel, and it has a 40 liter main tank, and a 20 liter auxillary one. I get pretty good mileage on it too.
I wouldn't mind a hybrid fortuner tho :P
it's a V6 petrol, and i have to re-fual atleast once a month.
My colleague has the Sequoia, and i don't think it's a truck :P it's a SUV, i think the only pick-up truck toyota makes is the Hilux. is that what you meant??

That's the one! I know i should call my truck and SUV, but the testosterone in me likes to use the word "truck" just because it sounds manlier.

73. iPoop (Posts: 58; Member since: 21 Jul 2011)

haha lol i prefer calling it SPORTS UTILITY VEHICLE :P i think its manlier than TRUCK :P

plus, if you are going for pick-ups, i recommend the Nissan Navara, SUVs i recommend the Land Rover Discovery 4. IT IS THE ULTIMATE off-roader.
the only reason i didn't buy it is because they don't have an official land rover service station, so if anything goes wrong... i'll have to ship it out.
Toyota's are also awesome, example the FJ Cruiser.
That's kind off too blingy for me, but you might like it :D
google it, the car's awesome :D

Yeah, would you believe there are entire clubs for decked out PTs? lol. They're good little cars, but be prepared to pay a lot of money if something does break. The oil gasket under the timing seal blew two weeks ago, cost a grand to repair it.

Not nearly as bad as having an android. Jk the cruiser is way worse. Its expensive and a terrible car a dealership actually had a deal buy on pt get another for a dollar and people still wouldn't get it

Expensive if you have to repair it, maybe. I got mine for 7 grand. I like the interior room and the solid construction. Being in a PT has saved my life twice.
