They are not trying hard. Samsung are trying hard and failing to sale their flagship phones which don't even total into half of Apple flagship sale.

I have S10 and I can say Samsung is not trying hard enough. Same main camera sensor since S7 and small battery plus 60hz screen. Even Note 10 has removed so many features after being hailed as be all phone. Samsung is more than just flagship phones. They are the full vertical play with fabs, display, memory, flash and phone and all device maker. Apple still can’t make a phone without using samsung parts.

Sadly, I have to agree with you on this. Whenever you used to buy the latest Samsung flagship, you knew you are getting a top 3 camera in the market, but as you noted, they haven't changed the main sensor for years now. Their cameras are truly showing their age now, especially in challenging light conditions. And while Samsung were playing it safe, Google, Huawei, and Apple have taken their camera game up to a whole new level.

S10 plus here, i agree on the lack of innovation in the sensor department but i was on holiday with a friend who has the iphone xs, we shot 5000 photos combined and one thing we noticed is that both phones have their strenghts and weaknesses but one isnt really superior over the other. With video its the same story. We were actually happy we had both phones cause if 1 was lacking in a situation the other filled the gap. Google camera is indeed great but also a bit hyped and has areas where it not that awesome. Also stock android is missing so much handy features. Samsung oneui has really matured. Huawei crazy zoom technology but the colors in normal photos arent that great. The huawei launcher also still not on par with samsung. Seems to me Apple only now has really upped their camera game..... so yeah its time for samsung to come up with an answer in 6 months.

S7, S8, S9 and S10 do not use same camera. Just with same specs. Samsung gets new sensors every year.

Over exaggerated response. The notch disappears. You never really notice it after using it for long periods of time.

Looks fine to me. At least it's body color unlike the new Pixel.

I wasn't fan when they were getting leaked and surrounded by an all black bezel, but I kinda like the way they look after I saw the official pictures. They look different and unique, and yes, they look good as well.

Nothing ugly about the triple cam. They are unique and one of a kind even over Hauwei’s design

I know the comment section is going to turn into a fanboy warfare, but I think we could all agree that at least Apple coming down in price at $699 is a positive thing. And yes I know there’s going to be a comment along the lines of “of course it’s only $699 it’s just a minuscule upgrade from last year”, but still I think it’s a positive thing knowing Apple could have charged the same $749 if they wanted to.

Better camera, better processer, bigger battery, AND lower price, but you know they'll still throw fits.

That 699$ will only applies for USofA and some one or two other countries only... Last year, when I heard that Apple priced XR at only 749$ i was really excited, but when it launched in the country where i working, will cost you 950++$. As for 999$ and 1099$ XS/Max in USofA, price jumped up "slightly" at 1300+$/1450$. The story was just same as my home country, where Iphone's price will always 35-45% higher than announced price. So, Apple will surely offset that lost of profit in USofA to the price of other countries.

For an iPhone the price is nice, but for HD+ LCD screen - not at all.

Have a think about the reason behind the $699 pricetag for now and what the 15% import tax on iPhones will do mid December, it goes up to $800.

This is the one to buy if you ask me unless you are really into taking pictures. The Camera is still really good. I'm fine with Apple LCD screens also. Hard to justfy the extra money on the pro.

tmobile and their down payments can suck it. Never paying $350 down on a JOD plan only to give it back eventually
