This has been confirmed by a statement from Apple and the company has already made the appropriate changes on its website. For the Apple iPod touch, this is the first update since 2015. The device will now be offered with 32GB of native storage for $199, and with 128GB of storage for $299. iPod: for a device supposed to let people enjoy music it offered absolutely terrible audio quality. I spent €329 on a iPod Classic 160GB and after month of using it, gave it to someone else because I couldn't cope the abysmal sound it produced compared to the Creative Zen I had before it. Even now Apple still can't do audio right. Just goes to show; if you promote a terrible product to death, people will buy it.

It’s better to buy the iPhone SE Verizon 32gb for $199, it could come in handy one day. I think it has the better processor, I think it’s the A9 but not sure

Agreed. It has all the specs of the 6S or the 7. Can't remember which one, but it will be faster than the ipod touch and will be fully unlocked.

The iPod touch was my first "smart" media player. Glad it's still around.

I use to ove the iPod Touch, noq its just garbage. Just drop all of them. For $199 why not 63GB? For 299 why not 256GB? I hope no one buys them.

That's kinda pricey considering the outdated specs. I could get a factory referb iPad air 2 for less than the 128gb version of this 4'piece of crap

$199 for 32GB? What a frikkin ripoff. Why not just sell a 128GB only for $199. They have plenty of money. I won't be buying one. The iPod Touch was my first purchase before the iPhone and i loved that. I even go on ebay looking at the old model, but its way to pricey for its age. 32GB for apps and music too? Not enough room to even enjoy. It wont even hold my 55GB music library and i have a 60GB video library. Apple is a joke. Just discontinue the garbage if you aren't going to give something worth what it costs.
