American's have "access" to higher education, but we all don't have equal "access" to it. Even though most Asian countries don't have equal higher education, they are much smarter. Example, China, Japan and Singapore for example, put far and away more money into infrastructure. You all have high speed rail. We don't. Our fastest train does like 100MPH or something. While Japan and China and the French have trains that are almost 3 times as fast. The US spends 65% of its tax money on military spending. I hardly find that to be smart. I don't know what America you are talking about. You must have us confused with South America. US American's are not smart. US companies don't lead an any field other than military. In fact in the US, the most sold products even those designed by Asian countries all come from Asia and are Asian brands. In the 80's and 90, the japan was the leading seller of products in the US, after US brands like RCA, Zenith for example were the top brands back in the 50's - 70's. In the 80's Japan took over with names like Sony, Nintendo, Sega, Toshiba, Hitachi and others In the 2000's Korea stepped up with LG and Samsung. Where is America when its comes to tech? AT THE VERY BOTTOM. In fact most of the stores here like Wal-Mart, 85%+ of the products sold comes from Asian countries like China and the Philippines. I can't even remember the last time I saw a product that said 100% Made in America. Even America brands like Apple, Harley Davidson and GM don't make the vast majority of their products here. They use China, Mexico mostly. Even when you call tech companies, like our carriers, Dell, HP and others,, most calls are routed to the Philippines and India. What exactly are we smart at dude? You know nothing about America. We are where we are because we have taking 90% of our labor and sent it mostly to Asian countries.

In order: First point: Surprisingly accurate. Americans have access to better education on average, but said access largely depends on ethic and income based statistics. Second point: That's generalization. The majority of Asian dominated nations are undereducated, with the exception of a few. Third point: That's a byproduct of government spending, not educational background. Fourth point: Public transportation here is far less valuable than in the countries you listed, where owning a car is a luxury. Fifth point: Agreed. Sixth point: As someone who was born in South America, no comment. Seventh point: That's patently false. Americans lead in the automotive industry, retail industry, online retail industry, and web based infrastructure. Eighth point: That has nothing to do with intellect. China has more abundant resources, thus we build things using China as a means to produce goods. The rest: Subjective nonsense.

If the "rest of the world" hates us so much, why is everyone trying to get into the US?

Plus, US citizens are so dumb, they use mph, gallons, inch etc, instead of m/s, g, meter, which are SI units. They are so dumb, they play foot+ball with their hands. They are so dumb, the voted for Trump.

Metric system is for 3rd-worlders. 'Soccer" is footie-fhagball, yet the goalie and players throw the ball inbounds with their hands. Trump is the new Master of the Universe. Everyone is afraid of ISIS, but he will wipe them off the face of the planet and make a safer world.

Though I am not an American. But I can say that they are smart at ruling the world. They know how to appropriate and utilize the resources of other countries for their own good. They are at core of every problem in the world whether terrorism or environmental pollution or financial Holocaust like 2008 crisis. But they always make other countries believe that America did not cause the problem. And are sincerely trying to solve it. But I like the R&D work done by US companies. I think that is the only positive contribution of US to the whole world.

Advanced country but with the help of 320 million people they can't punch anywhere near their weight. Can't compare that China and India as they're not developed nations

"Even though most Asian countries don't have equal higher education, they are much smarter." It is considered an embarrassment to get low grades at school and not have a well respected job position in a lot of Asian countries. And those that don't succeed are expected to hold that boring/low paid job regardless because it is just as embarrassing to them to be unemployed. This drives a lot of Asians to succeed whether the individual is intellectually gifted or not.

If 'Asians" are so superior and Americans are so stupid, why do you suppose that Asians (and the rest of the world) clamors, lies, sneaks and pays big money for visas to emigrate to the US?

The Chinese are more tech savvy than Americans, even though the iphone is made in China, sales are tanking. What's the #1 selling vehicle in America? it's the Ford pickup.

Top 10 most sold car in the world. Pickup ford is second. 6 of the top 10 are asian cars ( with the #1 been one ) Others are german car ( 3 of them ) So nope American dont lead for automotive.

"At least from this chart we know Americans are smarter and have higher education access than average Chinese." Neither are smarter than the other. Both are average. I have met different people from all continents and the world is full of ignorant people but most have good qualities!!!

There is nothing surprising in the popularity of Apple in the United States, they voted for Trump, alternative facts and fake news.

I don't care about the US market right now. Apple is never gonna be the top here overall as far as market-share. But what happened with the China Mobile relationship? I thought Apple would be beating almost every OEM in China. Even Samsung lost a big lead it had in China because of Chinese OEM's and Samsung actually sells phones at similar pricing. Apple fell right to the bottom. China has 1B people just in one city. With all the people buying iPhone look-alikes, like the GooPhone, it seems they would be selling their arms and legs to have the real iPhone. Apple is gonna have the same issue in India too. They are gonna fall right to the bottom. If Apple can't find a way to make a cheap iPhone that costs $250 or less to buy, they aren't going to sell a lot of product in Asian countries. In 2016, Apple only sold 2.5M iPhone in the Philippines, a country with 150M people

@techiexp1969 1. Why would apple care about market share in US when they are making much more money selling less number of iPhone. Apple is never worried about its market share. It is only for Android OEM . 2.People in developing countries like China want VFM mobiles. So both apple and Samsung lost share in China. Because Samsung budget + mid rangers + apple iPhone are not VFM. 3. In country like India apple is not trying to sell iPhone 7 or newer models. They are there to sell 2-3 year old craps like iPhone 6. Because people in India are crazy about buying apple products. Here people still want to buy iPhone 5s. If apple gets tax concession from Indian govt they will sell very well in India. The neo urban middle class in India still thinks that holding iPhone 5s is a class status.

Adi90. 1. Well if they dont care about market share they gonna loose big in the future. What made them so good is thats developper want to make apps for apple device because there is a lots out there as well as the advantage app store have over google play store but the fact is google play store is narrowing the gap more and more and eventually they will be on parity or better so when thats happen the OS with the most user will be the most interesting to develop for. 2 agreed. 3. thats could work at start like its did in China but on the long run its wont as ppl will obviously see they can get better for lower price.

US product continues to improve in its home countries. Well that does make good sense. Nothing bad or sinister about that, most products do best in their home countries. I would be more news worthy if it had dropped.
