I have to admit... I think the 5s is a sick phone and I cant wait to get my hands on it next week. This phone offeres everything, with the exception of a larger screen, that most apple fans wanted. I'm 100% going to buy it! Oh.. and the batter life of all my apple devices has always riocked!

Can't wait Dave. I bigger screen is a want not a must have . The fact that I still have my note 2 fills that void. The ip5s is sick and I'm all in. +1

I'm not exactly a heavy user and I don't play games on my phone (have my iPad for that), but i managed 2 and half days standby time on my 5 when i had it...Not sure what people are using their phones for that drains the battery so quickly?? :S

Mainly from power use. Like gaming and heavy browsing sessions. My work iPhone dies pretty quick. Most phones do though to be fair. I think only the Note 2 and some Motorola phones are immune to this. I guess the G2 might be in this club now. Every other phone though, doesn't last if you power use it. That is why people want removable batteries in Asia.

Battery life on an iPhone is and has always been a joke.

Probably something along the lines of... 1570mAh for the 5s and 1510mAh for the 5c?

Extrapolated or actual? Not necessarily the same thing.

Why do Apple fans lie about battery life. When I cracked my note 2's screen and sent it for repairs I started using my girlfriends iPhone 5.battery life was terrible. I had to charge it almost all the time. You guys should stop lying just because you love Apple. Apple don't care about you, if you run out of juice and miss important calls and messages Apple don't care. My note 2 never disappoints me.

So you think Samsung cares about you, or your money? Your post made no sense at all. You coulda simply said, your note 2 gets great battery life.

My G4 is getting fairly good battery life. However, I admit, when it comes to these companies, no one is spared by the phone marketing tactics. I prefer to have removable batteries until the battery manufacturers get their crap together and make them more stable and failsafe. Until then, sealing the battery is the manufacturers basically telling the consumers FU. Give us dollars and we will fix it. To me, this is worse than "I get more life out of my battery than you" argument. John B.

Your note 2 has a battery the size of an entire iPhone. What do you expect? Most people aren't willing to trade battery life for cumbersome size and cheap build quality.

Cumbersome? You obviously have never used a Note. Yea that thing is a bit big, but I will never go back to a smaller screen after my amazing Note 2. It. will change you, same as it has for Darkjedi, he won't even give up his just for the fact of the larger screen, and hes the biggest Apple nerd/follower here.

battery life on iphones has always been good but not really great. it's only last year and this year android oem's beginning to realize how much of a battery hog their devices are that's why 2500mah on a 1080p android phone should be mandatory. and always kill apps if you have task killers

I must admit as a former iPhone 4 user the battery life was pretty bad. Why because the iPhone 4, to me, was a beautiful phone I could not keep my hands off it. I would reach out for it even if I did not have to - just to turn it on and admire its beauty which in turn meant it used more battery with the constant turning on and off the constant checking of mail and web surfing etc.. it would not make it through a day without me having to charge it. Maybe twice during that day (morning & mid afternoon). But, I did not mind because it was and still is a very iconic piece of art for a mobile device. Today I have the HTC one and I do the same thing Because in my opinion it is the most beautiful Android device I have seen ( it in may ways not only rivals the iPhone 4 but, in my opinion, better designed ) It has a decent battery life it will last a day if I have it in full power mode. On battey saver I can get a day and a half. However, I also have from work a Motorola droid Razor Maxx ( I also think it's design is beautiful in a industrial way) and hands down it is the king of battery life. I can use it heavily for two day straight and still have juice to make it almost to the 3rd day without charging it. That is where Motorola kills the competition .
