Yea, Gates isnt even involved anymore. He's doing his charity and philantrophy stuff now and is letting Ballmer run Microsoft into the ground. He doesnt care, he has his billions.

Yea....there was a poll about the most admired CEO at one site. I woulda voted for Gates if he was still involved with MS.

Of course....Jobs got the most votes. I voted for Jobs too.....the picking were slim on the poll...lol.

After this, Apple is going to go for the ATIV S for infinging on the button in the bottom center of the device. Then they will try to sue Microsoft because the order of their tiles might reflect the order of the icons on the iPhone and people might mistake WP8 Phones for the iPhone. Then they will sue HTC for stealing the concept of a 3.5" LCD and a 4" LCD on a smartphone and they will sue motorola for not making the ROKR good enough to put iTunes on. Then they will go on and say they want to ban each and every single smartphone that came out after they started working on making the first iPhone because they all infringe on some sort of patent that, most likely, Apple stole in the first place.
I think S2U is the only patent that is valid, but everyone (and I mean everyone) has figured out a way to get S2U without having it infringe on the patent.
Hey Apple, here is a tip:
Instead of wasting money trying to eliminate the competition, how about you take that money and find a new design team so the new iPhone wont look exactly like the one I already have.
Every iPhone user in the world

No they wouldn't. At least not until ATIV S has a market share that will threaten them.

My guess would be M$ and Apple the two tyrants have some form of alliance.

Apple can only try to eliminate the competition, its the best they can do. More and more people are starting to get bored of Apple iPhone, its been the same ever since. Android and WP are sooo looking good right now.

Are you freaking kidding me? The S III and the Galaxy Note are not even close to violating their precious patents. The S III and the Note have different layouts, upgraded software (that actually works around some of the patents) and bigger screens...the Note's screen is nearly 2 inches larger than the iPhone, for f***'s sake. How many times can you whine and moan about other companies "stealing" from you when they are actually making changes to their devices and trying something new for a change?

Apple can not continue to monopolize and bully the competition like this. Patents or no patents, they are nothing but power-hungry monsters who can not stand seeing other devices succeed. They NEED to be taught a lesson in humility and given a reality check; they don't rule the world...and they never will.

Apple is seriously having a problem. Suing companies which poses a serious threat to them. Maybe after seeing what Samsung, HTC and Sony offers in their new phones and looking at their new and 'longer' iPhone 4+1 row, they realized they are way behind? The court should throw out and ban all their software patents like what New Zealand does. Apple, the US courts and their patent office (word complete? universal search? what the hell?) is the biggest joke of the century. US of A should just sell iPhones in the stores and nothing else. Sick to the stomach.

I seriously pray that in my time, something will somehow cause apple to go bankrupt. This mac is seriously my last apple related purchase, I hope they burn in hell. Seriously how the hell can they sue for slide to unlock, universal search, and word completion?! Can someone please sue apple?! Please? They're making this country look..worse.

Mass boycott and word of mouth does wonders.

Also, a natural disaster causing apple's HQ to be utterly destroyed (with NO INJURIES OR DEATHS) along with their servers would hurt them effectiveness and productivity-wise, leaving just the people and factories intact, as well as the offshore bank accounts

This is Apples final moment to hold its ground. Why do you think Apple is doing this, because they feel they are slowly loosing market share in US. They already lost market share in world. There is a deeper meaning behind all this. I realize Apple is trying to survive. I'm enjoying these desparte moments of Apple :)

Funny part is that they STOLE their universal search from the jailbreak devs back in the iphone 1 days when it had nothing but a good web browser. They should be ashamed of themselves.

since IOS is loosing market share then apple's screwed. Then it's only Wp and Android that dominate then. I shall have it like this. since wp is also getting more market share and is taking some of IOS's as well. But at release I have no doubt that Wp8 will quickly eat into IOS's market Share especially in the enterprise sector. And android is for consumers 1st and wp8 2nd.

Nokia Lumia Preivew and Samsung Ativ S vs Samsung galaxy Note ll and Nexus vs Iphone 5.- now this is competition. But I think there will be less iphones sold than it's previous models

why is such this big company wanted to sue everyone? they wanted to claim the tech innovation on their own..

i like apple(its different from being obsessed) but i just wish apple will stop...

innovation should be free and available to everyone! so that innovation can move forward!

because their sale is going down in the market . and samsung is releasing a new model or unit every quarter. so incase you buy an apple product, you will choose the new model or unit of samsung . and its new. apple product is month old or almost a year old .

There's two things that usually screw up innovative companies, handing over control to the accountants, or handing control over to the attorneys. One cuts funding for research and the other slaughters your reputation. Looking at how little Apple has innovated this past year and how frivolous the lawsuits have been, it looks like they've made both mistakes. If they don't do a complete 180°, we could be looking at the beginning of the end for Apple. When public opinion drops, profits soon follow. Their $600+ billion is mostly stock value, wait and see how fast that tanks when people protest your new products because they've tired of the childish lawsuits.

Who said Apple isn't innovating? They are not just good at lifting, stealing and packaging with their own logo but are also good at "innovating" on how not to allow others to do the same thing. They are innovating on how to scr3w compeition. Samsung has already learnt quickly so declared that they will SUE (or should i say scr3w) Apple if their next phone has LTE.

Oh this outrage is a clear, loud echo of natural laws..the higher they fly, harder they fall.
Karma will catch you, Apple..even you. And this time it'll be the one for the whole world to watch.

Ah well, if the courts side with APPLE - and, they will, at least in the states, then an update will take care of this:
The patents that Apple is claiming that Samsung infringed upon include the '647 (Data detector), '721 (Slide to unlock), '172 (Word completion) and '604 (Universal search).

Sadly a lot of that has already been done long before Apple's icrap-form-over-function products.

Credits belong to:

Neonode, Nokia, Motorola, Sharp, Panasonic, Sanyo, Sony, Google, Samsung, Microsoft, Corel, Palm, HP, IBM, Cisco, Xerox along with their subsidiaries and startups purchased by said companies. There are more but you get the idea.

Apple did contribute but not as much as the others, also Apple can f**k off.
