i also think that apple does not like how samsung ahead so fast with technology , i bet they wanted to put a dual processor in the new iphone 5 .................... its like the competition is forcing apple to put these faster processors in their phone .....

Don't be surprised if the iPhone 5 gets the chipset from the iPad3 - that is a dual core CPU. Meanwhile the Android universe keeps gobbling up smartphone market share - kind of like the old PacMan game. Apple has no choice given how high the expectations are from Wall Street for continued sales gains. Can you imagine what would happen to the share price if Apple didn't show year-over-year gains? One analyst is predicting $1,000/share by something like 2016....

It's like every other bubble in recent times. The speculators just keep feeding the machine into unsustainable expectations. The "burst" is coming.

samsung and google earn a lot of money from apple............samsung makes processors and screens for apple, samsung lost $10 billion only because of a rumor that apple is looking for some other company to make processors for the apple products, similarly, google earns 80% of its mobile revenue from apple........android and the google play are not really profitable for google........in this way,if more iphones are sold, then its profitable for samsung and google as well, these 3 companies are enjoying good partnership, they are enemies only in the market...lolzzz these articles are meant to burn the apple and android fanboys....does a small letter require so much attention? i mean, android fanboys say that apple is defaming samsung and apple fanboys will say that apple is right, nothing will change, its a good news for lawyers(they have become as important as the engineers for these companies lately), i find these patents and law suits funny because now, a lawyer has to design and add features to all the new smartphones and tablets, not the engineer

I really don't mind of Apple keeps up this kind of behavior. There are the iDefenders who will never leave Apple no matter what, however every successive step in this direction tarnishes their brand for those that are still open minded or still in consideration of Apple products. If they don't amend their strategy and change their tactics we'll be seeing the name Apple right along side of names like Nokia and RIM in regards to their current standing. Apple's got the cash reserves and a loyal core so it wouldn't be happening anytime soon though; hopefully they can make changes before they find themselves returned to the position they were in before... needing a handout to stay afloat.

Apple is using legal tactics to try and stun other manufacturers so that they can play 2 years worth of catch-up. It's dirty and a little desperate. I think they see their current situation and worry about their standing. They're like a spoiled child. Here's a tip Apple... If you are wanting to compete and climb to the top of something... Don't release something as small as iOS 6. :P

It's quite amusing because the iPhone actually had a year start ahead of the first Android Phone.

Kinda wish that Steve Jobs was still alive and CEO of Apple. I'm sure that if he was, these "patent wars" wouldn't be getting soo out of hand. Unified search isn't just on the Galaxy Nexus/on Samsung devices, it is in practically every Android device. My Evo Shift can search web, contacts, apps, music, etc. all from pressing the search button when on the home screen. I agree with that one judge that basically said that these patents are pointless and should not be fought over. That's just like the "slide to unlock" that Apple has sued a few Android device manufacturers over. As long as I've known Android, it's had that to unlock the device (I first experienced it on the G1 back in early 2009 when I was trying to figure out why T-Mo was pushing it). Why didn't Apple do something then? I could nearly write a 5 paragraph essay about my opinion of the "patent wars", but I think I'm done after I say one last thing, Apple makes good/great products (iPhone, iPad, Macs, etc.) but I don't like their business ethics.

I'd have to agree with everything but the first part. Jobs was the biggest contributor to the initiation of the patent wars and was the one that threatened to go "thermonuclear war" on Android. He's stated he'd have spent all of Apple's billions to achieve that end. He was Captain Ahab after his White Whale. Years ago, he'd mentioned on stage just how many patents they'd applied for regarding the iPhone. It was the plan all along to litigate any competitor out of existence.

To paraphrase Leia: The more you tighten your grip, Apple, the more consumers will slip through your fingers. Emperor Palpatine = Steve jobs, the beguiling orator who will ruthlessly crush any opposition to the applause of the masses. Darth Vader = Steve Wozniak started off with the best intentions but got wrapped up in the Dark Side. All things told though, he's still actually a good guy. Darth Caedus = Tim Cook, trying not to make the same mistakes as his predecessors and yet still driving everything on a collision course with conflict. (Sorry, been reading a lot of Expanded Universe stuff lately. My apologies.)

*sniiiiiiiiff* Ah, I love the smell of desperation in the morning. All this ludicrous suing and Apple is still losing to Android and Samsung. Can't wait to see the third quarter numbers. Maybe this quarter the iPhone will be outsold by both the RAZR HD and the SGS 3. Definitely the SGS3.

Especially with 2 gigs of RAM. You won't see 2 gigs in an iDevice for at least a year.

In the grand scheme of things.....I dont see anything wrong with that. BUT.....sue over some real things. Apple should be devoting all this attention to the folks behind the Meizu MX phones. THOSE are the real iPhone copies...

Apple came up with the design first, they have every right to protect their investments. The criminal here is definitely Samsung, who has no right to copy and steal the hard work that Apple put into to develop their products.
