Apple Watch Series 4 Nike+ models will not begin shipping until October
Just as expected, pre-orders for the new Apple Watch Series 4 commence tomorrow, September 14. This will then be followed next Friday, September 21, with the first shipments. But replicating Apple’s previous release patterns, it turns out that the Nike+ variants of Apple’s new wearable will not be available this month.

Just like the regular models, those interested in the Nike+ version will be able to pre-order their desired version tomorrow. Unfortunately, shipments will not commence until Friday, October 5. This is exactly two weeks after the regular edition is set to arrive and three weeks after pre-orders begin. Moreover, Apple has warned that the initial supply will be limited, so not everyone is guaranteed to receive their device on day one.

In terms of features, the Nike+ edition of the Apple Watch Series 4 will include the same larger screen, thinner body, and digital crown with haptic feed that the regular variant boasts. Additionally, the new fall and slip detection are naturally included alongside the ECG reader, which itself will be available later this year to US users only.

Aside from this, newly-updated Nike watch faces are bundled in with the new models and have been designed to match the new Sport Band and Sport Loop colors. Moreover, it’s worth noting that the Sport Loop has been updated slightly to now include a reflective coating that will improve night-time visibility.

As with the regular offerings, the Nike+ Series 4 will be available in cellular and Wi-Fi + GPS only models, both of which will be available in the new 40mm and 44mm sizes. In terms of cost, the Nike+ models are priced between $399 and $499.
