Apple Arcade price and release date: Coming September 19 at a shockingly low price

Apple today announced Apple Arcade, the first premium game service on mobile that will give you access to a collection of brand new premium iOS games for an upfront monthly fee. Thanks to this new service, Apple wants to boost the popularity of high-quality paid mobile games, which have always struggled to compete with the popularity of free-to-play titles.

Apple will now have the best smartphones and tablets for gaming-android won’t be able to compete

Moved from Samsung devices to iPhone X - android never been able to compete in mobile gaming. Especially on a tablet.

Do any of apple's devices operate at over 10 teraflops? Will it work with Chrome Cast? Will it work on any device capable of running a Chrome browser? Stadia can, and it will operate great on the crappiest computer or mobile device. The only advantage you get (so far) will be the ability to download the game to your device, because Stadia requires an internet connection. We're also talking about console quality games here...saw lots of titles geared towards children with Apple Arcade.

Stadia will be available for apple too but arcade won’t be available on any other device rather than their own.. so what’s your point here??

Let him, he’s crying inconsolably due to frustration, that’s the thing with android trolls, they are like the villain’s minions in a movie lmao

I don't play children's games...so no crying here lol. And my kids already have their consoles and computer games, so Stadia isn't really of any interest to them...yet. I pretty much gave up on console games a few years ago, and I definitely don't have any interest in playing games on my phone, tablet or computer. But being able to play something decent through my Chromecast definitely has piqued my interest.

Curious thing about those saying that don’t play “kids games” is they are even the most childish characters ever in comparison to those who play “ children games”

Oops...guess I stepped on your moment/nerve or something because you're resulting to insults now eh?? That's ok...we're used to it by now lol. But don't get so salty...I'm only referring to what I just read in the article... "There will be no ads and in-app purchases included with any Apple Arcade titles, so parents can be content that their child wouldn't rack up an astronomical bill with power-ups. Parents can also manage Apple Arcade with the ScreenTime feature and limit for how long their kids game." But hey look at what you're getting at launch - SEGA, Disney Studios, LEGO, Cartoon Network and 'Konami' (which PA had to mention twice because I suppose their list didn't sound impressive enough lol). I remember Sega and Konami from when I used to play in the arcades as a kid...wait...Apple Arcade...now it makes sense yes??! ;) Lucky you though...you get Sega, Konami...and Lego which I'm most jealous about!! I loved Lego!!

Not to break any hopes but kids are the biggest audience of gamers out there.

Looks like Apple isn't interested in growing their fan base eh? Just trying to keep the users they currently have lol.

Stadia will be full of empty promises and likely won’t really take off The average customer won’t have fast and stable enough of internet speeds to stream games And those consoles type gamers won’t wanna $60 prices like PlayStation or Xbox games cuz they don’t feel like they own anything but the google controller, otherwise you are actually renting games basically and you don’t even own the game console itself since the game console is googles servers you aren’t actually owning the console There after years of paying for games and they cancel the service you’d be no longer able to even play any of the games you paid money for Plus you can’t resell those games towards buying new games and don’t get the box art or instructional manual like many gamers want So I’d gave stadia like maybe 6 months before it’s added to googles stupidly large pile of failed projects

And what kind of solid state gaming media and instruction manuals are you gonna get with Apple Arcade?? Gaming is a huge business service, so I highly doubt Google will can it like you're hoping. Even apple is beginning to see the benefit of adding more services to pump up revenue streams. What Google is offering is cross platform compatible, but apple is only catering to apple users...good luck on building a huge customer base. Microsoft is going to release a diskless console next...did you hear about that yet?!

Yeah...but the idea is to make it 'bigger'...yes?? Apple is currently eyeing your kids...if you have any of your own that is.

Dude stadia is streaming from the cloud. A lot of countries still have poor internet. The fact that this doesn't have that high speed overhead and works offline is a huge win. And 6 members for $4.99!

Gaming means wasting time, and Apple is really good at this. Android is about productivity.

You say productivity, i thought android is just about costumization.

Funny thing is that most reviewers and users praise iOS productivity over android, but that’s ok, you can have your opinion

Seriously, iPad would be more worth it now.. and they got a great list of studios under this service.

And with control support it could be kind of a console replacement for some people (I’m not talking about those who are thirsty of exaflops to run 180Gb games on a 4K screen at 13fps), I will be happy complementing my switch with this iOS gaming platform, sounds like a win-win for me :)
