Certain apps that need to work in the background are allowed to do so – that includes VoIP applications or apps that track the user's location, not just the music player, as the case was back in the days. Only problem with wp7.5 multitasking i have is with voip, i really dont want any other apps to run in the background and and turn my smoooth phone in to a cr@ppy android-like experience where you have to kill apps, worry about free ram and so on...
