If the review unit was expected back, and it was bent instead, i wouldnt blame them.

They specifically bought a retail unit. They didn't do the bend test on their review unit.

sounds good, thanks for the clarification.

I hope that's not true, cause it would be a threat to internet freedom. Apple must address the issue and not threaten users who are posting bendgate-related posts.

It's as bad as restaurants threatening to fine people for poor Yelp reviews. People should have the freedom to report the truth without fear of retaliation.

The icult is getting out of hand. Banning journalists now. They already take most of the profits and cut out the retailers and carriers. Not sure it is smart for them to cut out the media too. I mean, taking the consumers and the medias side is what allows them to cut out the retailers without consequences.

I agree, and now that internet is like the center of the universe, it will be unwise for a giant company like Apple to gag all those online critics who only want is to make them realize and acknowledge their mistake.

You guys are stupid, it's suppose to bend like that. Just a few more bends and it'll make a nice iStand for my Galaxy.

Well, let's see what happens in a few months, when more users start seeing their 6+ stray from the straight n' narrow...! ;-)

Brought to you buy Mototrola! That guy in the video sucks, he should of used an m8.

Why should he have used an M8? He probably used the Moto X because it offered the most significant contrast between the iPhone's response to being bent and its own.

I think he used Moto X cause it's the cheapest.

Well, reviewers around the web are saying that the Moto X is the best Android phone on the market, just like last year. Judging from the active display, it was showing the guy had text messages so it's probably his personal preferred device, thus he was also wanting to promote the phone at the same time.

Kinda old news. Video is old and the guy on video. Had admit that he knew where the sweet spot i, so he can bend the IP6 plus whenever he wanted. It does not only happens with IP6+ and also on IP6. There are right now many Bended IP6 and IP6+ around Apple stores. :)

Old? The phones been out a week! And of course he knows where to apply pressure; that's the point! Your pockets won't know, which means at some point they WILL hit the spot and bend your device. The point is such an expensive device simply can't afford to have a weak spot at all!

Anyone who criticizes iCRAP better watch it: Next thing you know, you'll be sent to the Apple Gulag to ACTUALLY be whipped to mass produce these Rip-off iCHUMP6bs/POS for them!

This article is stupid. Same goes for the video. The phone bends because he's TRYING to bend it. Your pockets will never exert that amount of force to bend the actual device. I've had mine in my pockets since launch and never seen it bend not even slightly. This whole situation is largely exaggerated. As for the 9 people for reported it. Apparently the large majority of them were people who actually tried to bend the device so that doesn't really test the durability of the phone in a real world situation. Keep the phone in your pocket for a month and tell me if you see any bend. Then get back to me on the matter because these people are putting effort to try and break it. It's so dumb. The HTC breaks with less force than the 6 models. Although this is a good thing. We now know that future iPhones will be extensively tested in this exact situation to withstand someone actually trying to bend it.

I see your heart will break in a few months! except you carry your IP6+ like a baby!

"Keep the phone in your pocket for a month and tell me if you see any bend. Then get back to me on the matter" I agree. At the same time, this guy just found the weak spot, thats all. What make me kinda laugh is virus, malware researchers point out holes in software, a patch gets sent and we thank the researcher for finding and reporting the exploit. Why cant we do the same for the guy in the video? Because it isnt an easy fix? Oh well.....Is it because its the mighty Apple and the wonderful iPhone....? Apple should use this info going forward for their next phone(s). Remember Antenna Gate? Apple didnt do a quick revision for the Verizon model for nothing and all future iPhones 4, 4S after Antenna Gate hit..

"The HTC breaks with less force than the 6 models." Yes, in laboratory tests, where they clearly weren't targeting the weak spot. Your trouser pocket won't be so smart as to AVOID that spot; sooner or later it probably WILL put pressure on the wrong place, and then your 1000$ toy will be toast. It's an issue; deal with it.

Incredibly nobody reported any bending or cracking issues with the z ultra. And that is thinner and has a MUCH LARGER surface area compared to the plus. Kudos to sony..

interesting to see that. I guess it all comes down to the individual user and how they take care (...or not) of their personal items. Seems to me ...this is another reason to not rely on pockets in your clothes to carry such devices. I "wear" my iPhone (and other things) on my body with PortaPocket hands-free carrying cases. and have never had a problem. Prevention is the cure.
