Another major player to take on the Android market
Google´s operating system for cell phones has already managed to attract a plethora of manufacturers without proper production experience (such as Kogan). But BenQ is certainly another cup of tea. The company used to be part of a manufacturing alliance with Siemens with regard to cell phones years ago, not to mention BenQ still produces mobile devices that are primarily sold on the Asian market. Speaker for the company has just announced they are launching two Android powered devices in 2010 - smart phone and netbook. We cannot wait to see what the cell phone will look like. The more such devices make it to the market, the stronger the competition would be, meaning better quality and more satisfied customers. At least in theory.
