I don't think the master minds at Google are not fool to keep the 'premium' phone cheaper and the 'cheaper' phone expensive...

That was really surprising, and who could have thought Pacers could go head to head with Miami. I was expecting the series to finish at most at 4-1 in Miami's favor.

It really should've been 3-1 right now. But 2-2 with momentum on the pacer's side.

I seriously doubt it. I remember when the N7 launched. For a $200 tablet, I paid $225 after taxes and shipping. I was disappointed.

Cheaper than the s4 Google edition, yet still way too pricey. Definitely not worth the price.

if the S4 is worth $649, the One is definitely worth $599. One may choose if he prefers the wider screen and the more MP camera of the S4 or the stereo speakers, aluminium body and optical stabilizer of the HTC One. I'd go with the One, for example, as I value its unique features more than the S4 unique features.

I would definitely pay $ 50.00 more for the microsd and replaceable battery the S4 has to offer.

You can get the Chinese version with dual sim and a micro sd for like $650.

I wouldn't. I never replaced a battery in a phone: they always lasted at least 2 years like the phone itself. After 2 years, I usually change the phone and keep the old phone as a spare: the battery is still good. I've never bought a spare battery, I don't want to bother with another battery, I just plug the phone in a charger or in a usb port when I can and I've never run out of charge. As to the microsd, I've never reached more than 10-15 GB of data. I have 32 GB on my nexus 7 which are mostly free. You need the sd only on phones with 8GB or less, otherwise the internal memory is faster and more reliable (I had to change 3 sd cards because every now and then they fail, but it never happened with the internal memory). I guess most people complain about lack of sd and fixed battery only foe philosophical reasons, but I guess most of them never bought a spare battery and never bought a sd card bigger than 16 or 32 GB. On the other hand, the dual speaker yelds more powerful and crisper sound. The OIS sharper pictures in low light. The HDR microphone allows to record loud sounds without distortion, These are REAL benefits that you use every day.

I need microSD as it store my apps data and music collection as a backup to my desktop. Apps data in a microSD card allow me to wipe the phone after each firmware upgrade without losing my data. My guess is you don't do that as well.

I edited the article. It's actually $649 for a 16gb Galaxy Google Edition, and $599 for a 32GB HTC One

In Italy it is sold at 699€ = 915USD...

Yes, that's true. Not only usually the conversion 1USD=1EUR is applied (for example, Apple products have the same price in USD and EUR, and this automatically means 30% more expensive, since 1EUR is about 1,30USD), but some products have prices in euro that are even higher than their prices in US$.

915$ is not 1000$ as RaKithAPeiRiZ mentioned in his comment #7.

Mostly south Asian countries like India and Sri Lanka it runs upto a 1000 ,even the S4 had a similar price at start , it still costs alot , this is "cheap" compared to the sensed up versions there ( it costs $970+ in my country )

In Argentina we don't have it officially yet, but in our eBay it's AR$10.000. That's $1.892 dollars!

Even in the US, people end up paying $600 for their devices, it's just that the price is hidden in the monthly fee. You may pay $200 up front for the device, but the carrier is getting back that other $400 somehow.
