Android 8.0 Oreo for Nokia 3 starts rolling out today
Finnish company HMD Global is determined to offer consumers the possibility to get the most out of their Nokia phones for a long time. It's quite unusual for handset makers to offer major Android updates for mid-range and entry-level, let alone for ALL their products in this price range.

Well, HMD is doing it, probably because it doesn't have so many smartphones available on the market like other brands like Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sony, etc. The last addition to the list of smartphone updated to Android Oreo is the Nokia 3.

Back in February, HMD debuted an Android Oreo beta program for the Nokia 3, which would allow owners of the smartphone to test the update before it gets released to the general public.

Today, HMD announced Android 8.0 Oreo for Nokia 3 is going live, almost two months after the beta program kicked off. Although the OTA (over the air) roll-out should begin today, it may take a couple of days to arrive on all Nokia 3 units around the world.

If you want to make sure you're among the first to receive the Android Oreo update, you can go ahead and check if it's available via Settings / About phone/ System update / Check for update.
