Pardon my interruption, but isn't ironic that you're attacking bunch of fanboys for the same "crime" you commit day in day out.

I do not qoute Apple's bank account "day in and day out" lol; context matters. It's also worth mentioning that this quarter, Samsung has made more money from iPhone sales than the sales of their own product line. Just a funny tidbit.

That's about it, Samsung won't make anywhere close to that ever again after next year. Apple has several new OLED manufacturers thus they are gonna pull away from Samsung pretty soon.

Like seriously, why do fanboys always keep throwing number left and right? And why do you even care how much Samsung made off thr iPhone X sales? Unless you are investing and buying their shares, why would you brag about their profit numbers?

Apple makes 3 times that on the iPhone... Samsung Semiconductor is different than Samsung Electronics division. Samsung caters to large scale enterprise businesses that make up their Semiconductor business. The iPhone is a large contributing factor, but their semiconductor portfolio is much larger than just the support of the iPhone. We all know that...

This isn't a shock at all, but I honestly thought the figure would be higher. They can subtract one though...I returned mine. Good device, but the Note 8 is the closest thing to perfect for me. I'm not surprised at all though, that the X is selling big...what did we expect. It's not nearly the best phone, but it's the best seller, and in big business, it's the bottom line that matters.

If you don't mind me asking. Why did you? I have a V30 and I'm trading it for an X. I want to get input from a real life user.

Sorry for the late response, but it just lacks way too much of what I personally need in a smart phone. The X is a really good device...I can't lie, but coming to it from a Note 8 is just too much of a drop off. I have a laundry list of features, big and small that the X lacks. I'd keep the v30 if I were you, and just have both if you can afford to. I'm not gonna bash the X, but it's only a back-up phone for me, and at $1243, that's daily driver money.

"It's not nearly the best phone, but it's the best seller, and in big business, it's the bottom line that matters." It's best for majority of people who are interested to buy high end smartphone and that's why it sells. iPhone has great value for price. You said Note 8 is better, i would never buy that phone, too big, too long, horrible placement for FPS which is even bigger problem because the phone is so long. Also i wouldn't pay extra for stylus which i would never use, Note series is phone for small minority.

Your money, your choice. My money, my choice. My choice was to return the X, and recoup my money. Enjoy your tech.

So.. 9 million is the actual number (estimated by analyst) if you ignore the black friday estimation.. And the real pre-oder must be less than 9million, because some people buy it from apple store, and some get it from carriers close enough to their old prediction /shttps://www.phonearena.com/news/Apple-iPhone-X-preorder-record_id98355 No wonder they can increase shipping date, since their pre-order estimation is ridiculous

People buy iPhones because first and foremost of all is a status thing. I mean how many celebrities do you see out there using anything other than an iPhone? Don't get me wrong, I love Apple products in general and the iPhone X is a great smartphone, but i'd rather spend all that money on other things I priorize...

Oh no Apple is doomed, they are dead. No one is going to buy the X. Best start selling the shares right now, the Note 8 is about to launch and it will set the world on fire with "Innovation".

It did, and it’s a far better phone than the X, really no comparison. The X will sell better, that’s not a shock. I returned it, too limited, and restricted and lacking features.

Sigh. C'mon now. You never bought an iPhone X. 'm not sure why still to this day Apple receives so much hate. They make good products, and if you don't agree, don't buy them.

It's not about like! You know what I mean! I just say don't repeat it in every article. You're free to chose whatever you want and I respect but saying this phone is better than that just because it's better match your taste is not usefull at all. And no, I don't scroll past your posts because I know you as one of the best member of this site and other than what I mention I enjoy reading your posts.

Exactly, it's stupid to say this and this phone is better, it's all about matter of taste, iPhone X sales are very high because it gives so much value for many users. Most of people just don't see value to spend money for high end android phones.

well what can i say? i'm using an S8, and that edge-to-edge screen of the X makes me feel that the S8 has big chin and forehead.

X is far from edge to edge. Especially with the virtual bezels and unibrow.
