First launched in 2012, Amazon’s FreeTime Unlimited is a monthly subscription service that hosts a massive library of kid-friendly content, including books, TV shows, movies, games and apps. Up until now, the service was available only on Kindle e-readers, Fire Tablets, and the Fire TVs, but Amazon changed this today by launching the FreeTime app on Google Play.

The app is free to use and offers children access to a curated selection of over 40,000 YouTube videos and websites, while an Unlimited plan that starts at $2.99 per month unlocks an additional trove of over 10,000 age-appropriate books, videos, apps, and games.

Parents will be happy to hear that FreeTime for Android features parental controls similar to those available on FireTablets, allowing them to hand-pick content for their children and manage app use time.

The FreeTime app is available for Android smartphones and tablets via Google Play. You can download it from the link below.
