Oh, the times we live in! Amazon, in its ever-expanding quest for delivery options, can now make their couriers put stuff straight into your car. We kid you not, it's a variation of the Amazon Key service that was introduced not long ago, and allows couriers to leave deliveries inside your house, instead of on the front porch.
Called In-car Delivery (duh), the new Amazon service would work with Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, Buick, and Volvo. Notice a trend - yep, vehicles with systems for remote unlocking. According to Amazon, "In-Car Delivery supports most 2015 model year or newer Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, and Volvo vehicles with an active connected car service plan such as OnStar or Volvo On Call."
The way it works is that you download the Amazon Key App, shop on the site, and choose one of your addresses for in-car delivery. Amazon will notify you about the delivery window on the day, and, as long as you've parked within two blocks from the address, it will authorize the courier to unlock the trunk, and put your stuff in. After slipping in the package, and upon locking the vehicle, the app will notify you about a successful delivery. Neat, and above are the first happy campers.
