There has not been a single phone I owned which I haven't rooted in the past 5 years. My current daily driver(Oneplus 3) is rooted and running Lineage OS. With S6 I tried some custom kernels and detoxed versions of Touchwiz, which ran really really well. With S4 I ran CM11, though that didn't turn out well as the camera was really bad there. Also I bricked the phone after that(which I unbricked later). I consider myself an enthusiast and I don't hesitate to get my hands dirty.

If what you're saying turns out to be true, then I'm glad I got S7 at cheaper price. Wish it had more internal memory though. Battery is better than what I expected.

The ISP can make a very big difference in the processing from the sensor. I am sure the one on the Samsung will definitely take improved pictures due to the 835.

That's what I am saying, better low light processing, handling of chromatic aberration, better dynamic range in scenes, all that, 835 ISP is a good improvement from 820 ISP and will help IQ for sure. @Tyrion, I guess we will just have to wait for Note 8 for new Britecell camera/what you mentioned

Maybe the optimization and the efficient chip proceed a better battery life and even better from GS7edge. The screen size is bigger but the 1st thing who eats the battery is bad optimization and 2nd the chip (my opinion)

I think the 835 is going to greatly impress on optimization. 10nm in and of itself, is a big deal.

Few factors come into play here -most likely slightly improved power efficiency in the display compared to last year S7 and Edge panel -obvious power efficiency gains in the 835 vs 820/821 -Nougat 7.1 -more power efficient , newer Qualcomm LTE modem Stuff like that, etc

I'm just curious about this "orchid gray". Is this a missing comma, or is this going to be a really cool color?

"Exynos>snapdragon." It depends on how you look at it. Neither of the SoCs is completely superior the other, both have their Pros and Cons.

72. mikehunta727 unregistered

Exynos has always been the superior SoC going into a Galaxy flagship device, Exynos models always perform better than their Snapdragon counterpart in real world use and also has better battery efficiency. Of course both have some of their pros and cons vs each other but Exynos Galaxy flagships have always had better battery life and performance compared to Snapdragon counterpart, this is quite well known Exynos is just more optimized for Touchwiz/Samsung software compared to Snapdragon SoCs, but that is what you would expect with using a SoC you made vs a SoC from Qualcomm that, obviously you didn't design and create
