Alleged Huawei P30 series storage configurations emerge in new leak

The Huawei P30 series is exactly three weeks away and today tipster Roland Quandt has revealed the storage configurations that Huawei currently has planned for European markets.

When it comes to the range-topping Huawei P30 Pro, it seems as though the cheapest version of this smartphone will match the base Samsung Galaxy S10+ model by shipping with a very respectable 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

Like the Huawei Mate 20 Pro, the P30 Pro is expected to include support for storage expansion via the company’s nanoSD card standard. However, if you prefer to have more internal storage straight out of the box, versions with 256GB and 512GB are expected.

Joining the Huawei P30 Pro will be the regular Huawei P30. Despite its lower price, the smartphone should continue to offer 128GB of internal storage across Europe. However, the RAM count has seemingly been reduced to 6GB. Unfortunately, it also seems as though other storage configurations won’t be on offer. 

This means that consumers looking for more storage might need to purchase a nanoSD card or purchase the 256GB Huawei P30 Pro variant.

Completing the upcoming Huawei P30 lineup will once again be a Lite model. This smartphone will target the mid-range segment but, nevertheless, should still offer 128GB of storage. That is double the 64GB offered with the Huawei P20 Lite and shouldn’t result in any price increases – the Huawei P30 Lite is expected to maintain the €369 ($417) retail price in Europe.

As if often the case, these storage configurations could vary by market. Similarly, availability may be tied to certain colors. It’s also worth noting that other yet-to-be-leaked configurations could be in the pipeline.
