Officially unveiled last Sunday, the BlackBerry Motion isone of the most interesting BlackBerry-branded smartphones to date, being thefirst to feature water resistance, as well as the first to pack a very generous4000 mAh battery.

The Motion is already available to pre-order in the Middle East, but it has yet to make its way to Westernmarkets. Until that happens, you may want to check out the very first promovideo that showcases the handset. While the video - embedded above - is quiteshort, it offers a nice, clear look at the new smartphone from all sides, including the back (as you can see, this has a soft touch texture for a bettergrip).

Thanks to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and 4 GB ofRAM, the BlackBerry Motion should provide a satisfying user experience. Thehandset sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display, further offering features like afingerprint scanner, Locker Mode (for private photos and documents), acustomizable Smart Convenience Key, standard 3.5mm headset jack, and a USB Type-Cport.

The BlackBerry Motion is launching with Android 7 Nougat outof the box, but it will be updated to Android 8 Oreo (however, this may not happenbefore the end of 2017). According to a recent report, the new smartphoneshould be released in the USvia Verizon, Sprint, and AT&T, though this remains to be confirmed.

Once it lands in the US, the BlackBerry Motion could cost around $400. From what you're seeing thus far, do you think you'll want to buy this new Berry?
