For those who have never read their website, Al Jazeera is an excellent operation. Their reporting and writing is top-notch, and their correspondents are extremely knowledgeable. They got a very bad rep for awhile, being linked constantly to bin Laden videos as if they were the communications division of al Qaeda.

If you want to understand various points of view from outside of the U.S., Al Jazeera is a great place to start. They are one of my daily must-read sites.

I wonder how many of the people who are dissing Al Jazeera English actually watch it or follow it. It's miles ahead of CNN and FOX News. It has won many international awards and recently bought Current TV from Al Gore in the US.

Don't judge something without trying it.
