After seeing the Galaxy S8, are you excited for the Note 8 later this year?

So, with the Galaxy S8, Samsung had some serious mending to do, after the whole Note 7 fiasco, while still pushing the envelope of the smartphone concept further. A task that required damage control, progress, and innovation, intertwined in such a way that the company doesn't lose its footing in the highly competitive smartphone market, but even puts out a product that people can't stop drooling over.

Played with one yesterday and I must say I'm impressed but not enough to purchase the phone. I really love my pixel and don't think the upgrade is sufficient. I'll definitely be waiting for the note 8.

Huge Display plus Samsung DEX plus SPen. this combination just made me more excited for the new Note. Also hoping for dual camera set-up with better implementation than the existing ones. Also, stereo speakers.

I can't wait, but not necessarily because of the S8. I just hope the correct the fingerprint scanner placement.

Any news about the quick charge capabilities on S8? Cant seem to find anything concrete about it. Any upgrade to qc 3.0 or qc 4.0 standard or still stuck on qc 2.0?

Qualcomm 2.0

It's actually Samsung's adaptive fast charging, not qualcomm QC.

S8 with SD835 could handle QC 4.0 but samsung limited it to make it similar to Samsung adaptive fast charging.

I'm just waiting to see if they will be able to fit the fingerprint scanner under the screen or not, other than that it will be as expected.

How tall would the screen get for the note 8? The 8+ is larger enough.

To be realistic, I feel like the note 8 will just be another S8+ but with an inbuilt pen. It's not necessary a bad thing since no other phones has the pen feature.

To be honest... I'd be fine with that since my S8+ is very nice... An S-pen would be the icing on the cake!

If it has embedded screen fps, more squarish thinner profile, less curvy reflective edge will i consider it. I'm really not a fan of curve screen at all here.

Once pre-order opens, I'll be handing over my money.

I never do preorders. I wait for reviews and after about 2 or 3 months old the price will drop or Best Buy will offer good gift cards since it will be close to Christmas.

I'm ready for the official announcement to see what the Note 8 brings to the table. I'll be excited depending on that announcement.

I think I'm gonna give these underdogs another sale. Been happy with my ZTE Axon 7 so I may try a Mate 9 next. Not that I'm a Samsung hater, but after using this 400.00 USD budget phone I cannot justify 800.00+ for a smartphone.

More curious than excited. My S8 Plus is great, and has a ton of S-Pen features built in, without the need for an S-Pen. Samsung will have to shock me in a major way, with the new features built in for the new S-Pen to move me.

SuperSAF has done a video comparison of the S8+ and the S7 edge side by side. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R73EvY5otqQ Let's see how much has really changed. May not be much, but at least it didn't go backwards. Just remember, reviewers pegged that the iPhone 7 camera was worse than the 6S. So it didnt improve. Lets see if Samsung did better.
