Good things indeed happen if you wait long enough in the wireless industry, and fittingly so, AT&T just recently reduced the pricing on some of its most popular smartphones. Of course, the timing is undoubtedly...

Most popular call, "How can I get a free iPhone?". People are dumb, but of course all you have to do is call customer care, enter your number, push 0 at the first menu and then the number for questions about closing your account.

Now after reading that you may think i'm a smartass, but no. Threaten to cancel and take your services to Verizon, you may be able to receive the iPhone 4 with a 2 year contract for FREE!

*Inside tip shouldn't be taken lightly*

That may be true, but you also have to remember you are bartering for a free iphone4 while signing up for a 2 year contract. I have no idea why you would want to buy an iphone4 right now considering they are most likely going to release the iphone5 this year. So yes, you may get your iphone4 for free now but in the end you are going to hit yourself for not waiting for the iphone5. Then the carrier will probably laugh when you are therefore forced to pay full price for the iphone5 or termination fees.

You can not get an iPhone free. As per an agreement between AT&T and Apple. You might get a free Blackberry, Captivate, or whatever. But not a free iPhone.

ifails are never ever free. Representatives in the cancellation department have no more power than anyone else to change the price of the iphone. To do so would violate multiple agreements, as well as the strict non-compete policy apple has in place for their ipod phone.

Protip: Don't upgrade directly through AT&T. I got my Torch free at Best Buy (With the contract, yes.)

Target has had this lineup of AT&T phones for that price for the longest time lol. I bought the captivate from them, oh and they do trade ins too, and got it for 15 bucks after trading in my old phone :-D I was one very happy camper
