AT&T pushes new update to LG V20, see what's changed

A new software upgrade is hitting AT&T LG V20 units across the States. Weighing in at the hefty 1.01GB, the update should bump the software version of the 2016 phablet to H91010P.

Usually, an update of this size suggests that there are a lot of new changes on board. However, AT&T only mentions three things in the changelog.

After installing the new version, users will receive the Android security improvements for August 2017. That's a bit regrettable, as both the September and October patches have been out for some time.

Apart from that, the update brings enhancements to AT&T's HDVoice functionality which uses wide-band audio technology and noise cancellation to improve call quality. Finally, LG's own Wi-Fi Calling feature is also bettered.

The update is available OTA, but it might need some time to reach all compatible devices. You can check for it manually by going to Settings > About Device > System Updates. As always, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding with a patch of this size.
