AT&T Primetime, a new tablet for "nonstop entertainment," launches this Friday

AT&T just announced a new own-branded tablet that's presented as "the first designed to give you nonstop entertainment." Called AT&T Primetime, the new slate sports a 10-inch Full HD display, and comes with a TV Mode feature - this lets you access video apps (including DIRECTV, DIRECTV NOW, or YouTube) with a simple touch or swipe.

The AT&T Primetime features dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Audio (for a hopefully rich audio experience), and supports dual Bluetooth streaming - allowing you to connect it to two Bluetooth headsets or speakers simultaneously. Moreover, there's a Night Mode feature that's easy on the eyes when watching videos or browsing the internet at night.

AT&T didn't share all of the tablet's features, so we don't know what version of Android it will ship with (though it seems to be Nougat). What we do know for sure is that the tablet is powered by a 2 GHz octa-core processor (unknown maker), and packs a 9070 mAh battery. According to AT&T, said battery can provide up to 11 hours of watching videos, browsing the web on Wi-Fi, or listening to music.

The Primetime tablet will be available to buy starting this Friday (August 25) for $29.99 with a 2-year contract, or $10 per month for 20 months with an AT&T Installment plan. You can take a closet look at the device in the official video promo below.
