I was compar ing it to Android. Can't say much about WP because I've never owned it.

Even compared to Android, it is not to be scoffed at. Symbian Belle is better than Android 2.3 Gingerbread (it lacked even a mildly decent app store, though). Only after Android 3.0 (ICS) did it start getting left behind.

I wasn't talking âbout all the Symbian versions. But thanks for the brief comparison.

And your comment has won the most dumbest comment of the year award at PA. Congratulations!

That automatically makes your comments worse than dumbest. "dumbest comment of the year award at PA" You mean stupid (like WP) award WP fanboys come up with? Yes, i take 1st place according to you.

Ironic, coming from someone who uses WP.

That's because I don't support a platform, just because I own it. Consider it as a WP user review on WP.

A review that is plagued by bias, hate and fandroidism.

Yes, to a WP fanboy, it appears like that.

No just to everyone here really. Your review if we can even call it that, is like me doing a review on android. oh wait lets not go there, cause despite what you love about droid, i hate. My droid would be awesome if it would quite restarting itself as i watch netflix. What is the point of having 5000 calculator apps to choose from if it simply cannot 'stay on'. This i my third note 3.

Maybe, maybe not. I can't say since my last experince with Android was 2.3 gingerbread (which was far superior than what Windows Phone is). Maybe the problem lies in Note 3. If i were you, i'd get something other than a Samsung Note 3 (HTC, Sony, etc) and try it out before judging the platform based on experience from one vendor and one particular model, alone.

Gonna have to agree with altercho... The last time I had an app reboot my Android phone constantly...was the FM radio on the Droid X....back in 2010....thats almost 4 years ago. Since then its been because of my rooting, using custom ROMs. Really need to take my Moto G back to stock soon. Maybe instead of getting another Note 3....try the Note 2 or something else. Because I know every WP phone isnt problem free. Every iPhone isnt problem free. At least me and you have a choice of another OEM...unlike iPhone folks.

Have the note 2 or had, done the s3. In all i have had 7/8 droids and 12 total with the others being 'indirect on my account'. Of those only 3/4 were problem free. The s3 has been problem free. I have owned HTC, Sony, Samsung, Nexus. So no my experience is not limited to one manufactuer by any means nor stock OEM droid skins. Yes i can root, have done it, but i shouldnt have to 'root' to have a working phone. I currently have the 925, 521's, 8x, hd7. I have replaced the 521 once (didnt want to pick up a network). The others have been rock solid all running the 8.1 software with no issues, the hd7 is on 7.8. Total windows phone count at this time is 7, for the modern win7/8. While you may love symbian many did not, there is more to on OS than a file manager etc. Personally when my note 3 works, its great, it does what it does. In the end though, my 925 gets more use simple as that.

Who is 'we"? As I believe alterecho that he has had a horrid experience on WP, most of "us" believe there are still those having crap luck with Android. I believe wolverine has had nothing problems with Note 3. I think Android the OS is very stable... until skins are put on by manufacturers, until too many background tasks are dragging down the device, and proper controls are not taken. This is the old cliche about strength being the weakness. If you do not care for your Android, it has problems. Neither WP nor iOS have this particular problem. Of course, Android is #1 due to that strength. No 2 Androids are exactly the same and there is tons of options. But it isn't 100% of sales. Why doubt a reasonable post? Android ain't perfect.

Believe/Don't, it is me who has to deal with it. Don't even get me started on our Pod Note 3 here at work. That thing is a mess. However, we have 3 other note 3's and they work great, save the awkward problem here and there. Like the magazine app crashing the device, or the playstore app on one of them constantly getting stuck on installing where you have to clear data and uninstall up dates on the playstore and it works. But those 3 notes have not had the same issue as mine nor the pods. Nor is it indicative of the entire OS, but, and here is my issue being in tech daily. When i see nothing but process errors, crashing freezing etc all day (that is my job so i wont get the simple issues) and my own device, and the level of Windows calls are people forgetting passwords or the hardware itself like not seeing a network or sd card not being seen. Is entirely different. I have exchanged windows devices for the boot error (which i laugh at cause its hilarious).

an that same growth in 2y is 12% , above iOS

Yea, its great for WP to grow now since Android and iOS really have no where to breach, since they have all the customers already.

Even ios is better than WP I have a L1020 that I only use it for the camera and cause of Nokia Those ugly bathroom tiles are messy and all over the place Ios7 drop notification is better I tried jailbreak in but that does not exist The apps are expensive than ios and Android Ripoff You have to wait 3 months for apps and games Why do users go through such anxiety Nokia has got themselves in much more trouble and know there one foot in the grave which WP will take them completely down like it's previous iteration of dieing platform

This I can agree with...even tho Android still sees market share increases, sale increases from the previous years at times. There really is no where left to go but down for Android and iOS....they both better keep on their toes. WP can keep them on their toes....I wish I felt the same about BB, like what the new OS and hardware looks like....

Wow the NokiaFtw once was in reality enjoying life to full and know back to prison being told what not can be done and to be told how and when and why Symbian is Android Windows Mobile was more open than pathetic closed WP How would you feel something that once was so open know is so closed

Symbian and WinMobile are not even a tenth of what WP is. WP is a modern and stylish looking OS. Symbian and Windows Mobile were slow, laggy, outdated looking and didn't have the appeal. WP has the appeal and the momentum. Everytime I go out with my L1520, my friends want to have a look at my phone cuz they really like the tiled interface. Most of them are seriously considering switching to the Lumia 930 when it releases. So keep your good for nothing BS inside your pants and crap elsewhere.

"Symbian and WinMobile are not even a tenth of what WP is" "both were slow, laggy, outdated" I would disagree with both are not even 1 tenth of WP. I dont know what you and many WP folks like, prefer most....but many Symbian, Win Mo folks would probably say functionality wise....WP is finally catching up to Win Mo...and Symbian. ....I prefer function over form...Remember Win Mo lost its market share to Android and the iPhone...so there are many, many former Win Mo folks still using Android and the iPhone...because WP market share is still very small. Even tho in comparison Win Mo is outdated, slow, laggy.....functionality wise it was better than WP until the 8.1 update. IMO.

Why don't you use WP before writing such ignorant comments about no apps or games. WP has a whole lot of Apps and games including an overwhelming majority of the most popular Apps and games as well as exclusives not available on other platforms. L520 is part of the platform just as budget Android devices are part of that platform, what your beef?, give it a rest.
