7 basic smartphone features that the iPhone does better than Androids

So I recently switched to an iPhone 6s after several months spent between the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There's no particular reason for the switch, other than I wanted to check with Apple and see how things are going with its latest flagship. The more compact form factor was also welcome...

They had to get that article dedicated to the mute button out first. We'll see the $800 iphone article later. But, it will be called "why the iphone is a great deal at $800." There are still probably 3 writers at PA who haven't completed their articles on why they switched from Android to iOS. Then, they will publish it. I'm sure the editors are pressuring Michael H. to finish his article on why he switched to the iphone se. But, all the other writers have taken all of the good material such as "the default weather update interval on the S7 is too long and I'm too lazy to take 9 seconds to change it."

1. I find it annoying that the shortcut has to be at the upper left corner, I wish there was a back key at the bottom. 2. That gesture is so much a hit or miss for me that I rarely use it. 3. Again tapping at the top part, and the more I use that double tap on TouchID for one handed use, the more I find it annoying. At least Opera gives you an arrow to get back to the top, that's not at the top part of the screen. 4. For some reason, I don't think so, annoying that there's no number row and having to switch between 2 layouts just for some punctuation marks? How many years will they keep it that way? Thankfully I can use another keyboard now. 5. I love that function! 6. Wish we could customize it, change that imo ugly milky shade. Most of the shortcuts are never used by me. But finally something accessible from the bottom, though iI trigger it pretty often by accident because of that. 7. Used that once, got used to carry a powerbank with me all the time after that due to my inconsistent usage.

I agree with #3 and #5. Really wish #3 was on Android but it's not THAT much of a big deal for me.

The article is BS but people are missing the point sure it may do better things and id agree with some pointed out here like correcting text but other points have no validity at all there are better power saving modes on some android phones as they offer extreme power saving also , plus the one about keyboard is just a preference really no hard facts to support that very imaginative article .....

This article is trolling, it has to be. Swiping back is easier than hitting the back button? What? They are both easy, but a simple press is logically better than having to swipe (in a straight line mind you). The keyboard? THE KEYBOARD? lmao It's the worst keyboard on the planet. brb having to go through 3 options to get to a simple symbol. Always having to go to second page to get to numbers. The period and comma come and go when they want. Setting up emails on these devices is such a pain to get to all the special characters. It took them 7 years to make the letters you see on the keyboard to reflect whether they were going to be capital letters or not. 7 YEARS! The text correction? The horrible iPhone autocorrect is why 'Damn you autocorrect exists'. I always know when I'm talking to an iOS user when there are words corrected and they make little sense. The text correction on iOS ducking sucks and you know it. This is probably the worst article I've seen on here. It's got to be click bait or trolling. It would be like saying muting the ringtone on an Android is easier.

Didn't you say you came from the note 5? s**t, you haven't been using it very much then. Epic fail for the "android guy". Low power mode in TW turns off when you hit that percentage you set. You can use the keyboard as touch pad for moving the cursor. And side swiping for going back instead of a button is totally of personal preference. Tap to go to top is a very nice feature. Keyboard again, must be personal preference. I always write like s**t on ios devices. Last but not least, command center....I really don't see why it is better in the buttom, yes it's easier to reach, but it also pops out by faulty touches .....

Wow Phonearena last three days I have just seen three articles praising apple products. And comments section is crowded. Sites like u have made apple products popular. Otherwise these products are average. Specifically these devices are not feature rich. And the points mentioned by author are worthless. Goodluck phonearena in changing the minds of people.

These are the most popular articles, therefore it makes sense to post more of them... Ironically they're popular because of so many butthurt Fandroids commenting rather than iFans. It's hilarious to read through.

Iphone is an attractive toy. But not useful, look at the sea of android smartphones and everyone different from each other in market. If apple allowed any other ios device to be produced then we can see something beneficial

I ocassionally comment on articles but read articles everyday. Last four years I have been reading articles on phonearena. Sometimes considered them being biased but last three days consecutively could not withstand whats going on? Looks like I won't trust your reviews anymore and its not only me there are hundreds of people like me who won't trust you anymore

2 things I think iPhone is better then android is keyboard and command centre to an extent. On the other hand major Android benefit is Customisation and freedom from iTunes like software for everything.

I like androids resizable widgets, and iOS's centralized widgets that are only there when you need them. Both approaches rock.

iPhone keyboard sucks, as well. I use SwiftKey, so I can have a dedicated number row. It's so useful, instead of having to click on the "123" button, select my numbers, and then click the "abc" button, to get the alphabet back.

My G3 has an onscreen arrow on the bottom that drops down the notification screen, really convenient since I access it all day long, superior solution than the iphone. Also the iphone keyboard has no numbers, not even a comma on the main screen, really stupid.
