7 basic smartphone features that the iPhone does better than Androids

So I recently switched to an iPhone 6s after several months spent between the Sony Xperia Z5 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. There's no particular reason for the switch, other than I wanted to check with Apple and see how things are going with its latest flagship. The more compact form factor was also welcome...

1. Not getting updates on time if you aren't a Nexus device 2. Bloatware and lots of it 3. Apps aren't as polished as they are on iOS 4. Stagefright 5. Malware has been spotted several times on the Play Store 6. Android device depreciation Should I stop or do you want me to continue to embarrass the haters?

4, 5, 6, are not exclusive to Android alone. I understand you hate Android and that is a right you have. However, be fair Apple also has issues with malware and viruses even in its own App store.

That's how fansboys are. They only see flaws elsewhere, but do not see any in their own camp.

If you want to know the features Android does better, head over to AndroidCentral or AndroidAurhority. Because you will not always find it here.

>> Correcting text No, sir! I have an iPad and a Nexus phone, and correcting a text in iOS (especially its auto-correct) sometimes makes me cry.

Half these points are not true. On the HTC one a9 after it hits 15 percent while charging it turns off power saving automatically.

After 3 years of Samsung I have really come to love iOS. I always could type on iOS better for some reason even with the small letters. Like the command center on the bottom. Easy to get to. Though I really miss the back button but couldn't do with out the swipe now. Great stuff. Think iOS could use a close all command for recent apps.

Wait, what? The keyboard? I am dazzled to read this. The Google Keyboard is like eons better than iOS Keyboard in every aspect I can think of. The other points era debatable but the keyboard definitely is not.

The auto-correct icssue he mention is a pain on iOS. But this is more of aproblem on smaller iPhone vs the larger ones or the iPad. But the biggest issue isnt the keyboard, its your finger size. I've watch people with large fingers try to auto-correct words by trying to pick one letter and they get frustrated. At least on my device, when I want to change one letter, the section where you type is larger, which makes the letters on my device bigger than they are on ANY iPhone even the Plus model. So picking a single letter is very easy. Plus I get a teardrop on the cursor that makes moving it around so much easier. But hey its YOUR subjective claims. They aren't better. This is what si sickening in general about fanboys. When you use a platform that does something a certain way, yes many do things that are "better" and are not left up to an opinion. Liek Apple's one-handed mode vs Samsung's. Samsung's is better because 100% of the screen contents are still available vs Appel where you lose 40% of the content. So better in my example isn't subjective. Then you have things you think are better. Apple forces you to do things ass-backwards because they chose to have one button. IMO, the least amount of times you need to actually touch the display, to perform a function; to me makes that function better PERIOD. See my example here is very "subjective". But I specifically says this is better for "me". For people who buy phones with onscreen buttons as a choice, then my example is subjective. Not sure what the writer was attempting here. Articles on a blog site should never be personal, they are suppose to be informative to the user and beneficial. I think PA is basically trying to make more clickbait because articles that always try to pawn one platform as better than another will get more people posting from arguing subjective bullsh!t. There are idiots here who that si all they come for is to pick fights...Right Darkk?!

Well a good article and I thank the writer for pointing out the fact that this is in his opinion Although I wish the title was worded with the preface of "why I think these 7 things.... Looking forward to the follow up article in a timely fashion

+1 on correcting text... Though Windows 10 Mobile has a little "Joystick" of sorts which is better than iOS and WAY better than nothing! I wish I could've the same Joystick on my Nexus!!! +1 on Notifications Center... I'm in love with iOS simplicity! You don't even need a bloody user manual or something. Just follow your 'instincts' and don't act like an idiot, bingo! -1 I like having a "PROPER" back key... Biased P.A! -1 Google's Default keyboard on my Nexus is on par with iOS... Biased P.A! -1 Battery saver on Samsung Mobiles is superior than iOS... My friend's S6 could last him a bloody week or something... Biased P.A! Short-cut to previous apps etc are minor nitpicks... Biased P.A!

What is it with you PhoneArena? "I wish most high-end Android phones have this one iPhone feature", "7 basic smartphone features that the iPhone does better than Androids"? Two pro-iPhone articles within 3 days.. That's sounds like a campaign against Android, rather thanfree journalism.

And It's so annoying, man. They aren't doing themselves any favor with such, and it has made me not to take this site seriously on phone reviews. I can't decide on which phone to purchase based on PA reviews or articles. I come here just for rumours.

All you iOS USERS are being robbed of your money and your not making a intelligent decision if you buy a iPhone, don't be a disgusting unintelligent sheep. I can list many reasons why say a S7 is so much better then the iPhone, people who use iPhones need a new phone , upgrade YOUR LIFE

For going back from a link on Android you just push the back button. It closes the app and goes back to last one. I do it alway.s ANd serious stretch for the back key? I can't think of a time my finger isn't close to the home keys. As far as selecting text to correct, you don't have the magnifying glass but you get a slider you can easily control . COmmand center is just a bastardized version of the Android Pull down notifications. HEck many of Apples best features are Android features. I mean it wasn't until the last OS that included the ability to see what's effecting your battery life. Which is insane.
