Now that the iPhone 5 is all-official, there are many people in the industry who feel a bit underwhelmed by the announcement. Sure, it’s bigger, faster, and stronger than its predecessor, but as a whole, it might not embody all the necessary characteristics to deem...

When will iFans realize that we Fandroids do NOT want a phone that 20 million people have. We like options, we like all sorts of shapes, sizes, designs, optional keyboards, open OS, customization, etc, but most of all FREEDOM. I can do what I want when I want (< notice all the capital I's, because I'm a big boy and don't need iGimicks) Apple can mass produce all the iProducts they want, and you can buy all the Banana Republic Turtlenecks and skinny jeans. We don't care. The only thing apple has going for them is the make the best "closed OS" for "closed minded" consumers. Open your eyes and open the possibilities, and actually make a choice that is your own. If you like iOS and the iPhone at least know why you're buying it, other than "iDunno, its an iPhone right?"

No doubtedly you'll compare every flagship with iPhone in the next few weeks. We want Phone Arena to clearly state a winner. Most of the flagships have Jellybean so its just as smooth as iOS. Saying that you can't go wrong with either will be unacceptable.

I don't think you can state a winner without pissing off a lot of people.

What's the point of comparing then?

so you can see the differences/similarities feature by feature and decide which are most important to you. Duh!

And what if I wanna know which device is better as a whole? They don't tell us that for some reason.

The difference is not every phone is ideal for every person. Some want a huge screen, some don't. Some want customization options, others want simplicity. My co-worker values indestructibility, only gets the military spec phones that can survive under water, etc...(He got a Samsung Rugby)

There is no single best cellphone anymore. We have many choices, and that's a win for us.

Phones have become a 16 hour per day experience, so it's logiical that consumers become attached, literally, to a brand. Throw in their respective investments in related ecosystems, and it's even clearer why these discussions seem more like conversations about one's religion or political party. At this point, 75% of the discussion is pure emotion. No wonder Apple is making BILLIONS. If Mr. Cook really wanted to surpass Steve Jobs success he would convert Apple into an official religion for the zero tax status.

I hope at least this time the ifans will realise which is a better phone which caters their needs and buy that instead of just blindly buying the Iphone5 just because its an iphone ...

I'm confused
Phonearena say that a6 chips is quad core...
Is it quad core processor or just quad core gpu...
I need some expert here to reply thanks :)

Apple hasn't told, so you aren't supposed to ask ;-) Don't you just want to focus on the user experience?

Back to your question, I suspect the cpu is dual core with the gpu being quad core.

BTW, another Ely Tran Ha photo for your profile pic? Or, are you the other one in the photo?

I also suspect it is the dual core... And I won't fall on Apple marketing gimmicks any more... That why I rather listen to you guys even thought you are an android fanboy :)

Nope. None of the above are me... Disappoint?

Well...since soc has smaller footprint than A5...folks at AnandTech suspect A6 has 2xA15 cpu cores built on Samsung's 32nm HKMG...or...or...its just A5x built on 32nm...so...untill Apple spill the beans or someone tear apart iPhone5...no one knows...we all are guessing!!!

"...even thought you are an android fanboy :)"
Me? My feelings are hurt. ;-) If Apple produced a phone that was truly competitive with the best of the Android community, I would consider it. I was thinking about the Lumia 920 until Nokia biffed the product announcement.

"Nope. None of the above are me... Disappoint?"
What you want to post as your profile pic is your choice. You seem to be a follower of Ely Tran Ha, though.

I have a GALAXY NOTE and I am tired of reading all this bashing because people like a product you do not like, go get a life SERIOUSLY, and for people who say iphone just caught up need to get their head check, first of all they do not use andriod os, so why do they need a quad core processor.......this makes no sense their operating system is faster then andriod without the extra processing power, so why is everyone comparing apples to oranges when its painfully obvious they are not the same......find a new hobby man......its just crazy going through many apple articles to read apple just caught on......then you have people defending why one andriod device cant outsell one apple device.......you need to stop making excuses if you do this for phone device you must do this a lot for life problems
