leaked for both Storm 9500 and 9530 leaked for both Storm 9500 and 9530
Up until now, each newly leaked OS upgrade for the BlackBerry Storm was for either the 9500 model, or the 9530 specifically. Now comes the next unofficial OS fix, and it is designed for both models. So far here in the States, Verizon has seen fit to put its official stamp on the .75 OS which was even sent out as an OTA firmware upgrade to owners of the 9530. Early reports say that the accelerometer works better, a full QWERTY keyboard is now an option in portrait mode, and the phone seems zippier overall. Again, we caution you that this is not an official release and anything can happen if you take the risk to download it. Having said that, let's hear from some Storm owners who took the plunge. Is .90 the best OS build yet?

.90 is good for the most part. I found a few issues with the camera. depending on your cam settings the cam will auto focus and snap the pic but will not save the pic, making the cam useless. However, when i turn the stabilization feature off it was much more reliable (still not saving here and there). but aside from that I havent had any other problems.

yeah the camera issue is something I think they are working on all by itself since it is sooooo far off from a normal BB standards. But besides that, yes this is the way the Storm was meant to run now....no delays and no latency issues.

i think ill wait till the official release. im not beta testing my $250 phone and voiding the warranty!! and no, vzw emps DO NOT get any special deals on that phone :( that and i use the camera alot, and i have 0 issues with it on .75 so why upgrade when its workin just fine and add camera issues?

Wow ANOTHER OS upgrade... gotta love it when all the iPhone haters who complained about how it had to be a horrible phone with all the updates are eating their own words with their precious Storm. Gotta love that karma.

I did it on my Storm. The only complaint I have is when a ringtone starts it takes a few extra seconds for it to STOP even after I press the screen. On the .75 upgrade it stopped right after I'd press the screen. The camera seems ok.
