The screen size of the iPhone 11 Max 3D dummy is 6.5-inches, while the display measures 6.1-inches for the iPhone 11 mockup. If Apple were to go with those screen sizes for its two high-end models, it would most likely raise the size of the display on the iPhone XR (2019). The current unit carries a 6.1-inch LCD panel. If it decides not to make a change, the company could be posied to differentiate a 6.1-inch iPhone 11 and 6.1-inch iPhone XR sequel through a few features. One would be the OLED display on the former versus an LCD screen on the latter. In addition, the pricier iPhone 11 will probably sport a triple-camera setup on the back, compared to a dual-camera setup on the iPhone XR (2019). And there is talk about Apple adding a reverse wireless charging feature for 2019. This could be offered on the two OLED models only as another way to differentiate the iPhone 11 and iPhone XR (2019) if they both are equipped with the same sized screen.

Speaking of the triple-camera setup expected on the back of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Max, we could see a primary camera, a camera with a wide-angle lens, and a Time-of-Flight sensor. This measures the time it takes for infrared light to bounce off a subject and return to the camera. The data can be used for more accurate depth sensing, 3D mapping, and AR features.

According to Macotakara, the iPhone 11 Max will measure 157.6 x 77.6 x 8.1 mm while the iPhone 11 will weigh in at 143.9 x 71.3 x 7.9mm. That is slightly taller, wider and thicker than the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XS. Interestingly, the video shows that a 6.1-inch iPhone 11 will have a smaller footprint than the current 6.1 iPhone XR.

All three new iPhone models will be powered by Apple's internally designed A13 chipset produced using 7nm technology by TSMC. At this point, it is too early for Apple to take advantage of the settlement it recently announced with Qualcomm that includes a six-year licensing pact with the chip maker (with an option for two additional years) and a multi-year supply agreement for Qualcomm chips. So once again, Intel's 4G LTE modem chip will be employed on Apple's 2019 smartphones. We probably won't see Qualcomm inside until 2020 when Apple employs the San Diego based company's 5G modem chips.

The new models are expected to come with reduced bezels, and Apple has reportedly been able to reduce the size of the components needed for the TrueDepth Camera and Face ID. And of course, we can't forget that iOS 13 will be pre-installed on the new phones. The latest build of Apple's mobile operating system is expected to support a system-wide Dark Mode among other improvements. We should learn more when Apple holds its annual WWDC developers conference starting on Monday, June 3rd. The conference will conclude on Friday, June 7th.

This year, sales of the iPhone have been sluggish at best. Apple will report its fiscal second quarter earnings next week, covering January through March 2019. During the company's fiscal first quarter of 2019, which included the holiday shopping months of October through December 2018, iPhone revenues declined 15% year-over-year.
