22,000 people unwittingly agree to clean toilets in exchange for Wi-Fi service

0. phoneArena posted on 16 Jul 2017, 15:18

Does anybody really read the long-winded terms of service agreements that mobile users often have to agree to in order to use certain features on apps or websites? Usually, this requires reading (or pretending to read) paragraphs that could put an insomniac to sleep, followed by tapping on a box to indicate acceptance of the terms. A British company called Purple wanted to prove that nobody reads these terms, so it devised an interesting experiment...

Hugging stray dogs and cats are disgusting? Now hold on a sec! I'd be glad to give em doggos a welcome hug!

I'll hug stray dogs, but even the most fancy and pampered of cats are the most disgusting pets people can own. They spend all day licking their own buttholes, then they lick the paws they use to bury their turds, then spread them all over their bodies, and people claim "cats are so clean, you see they groom themselves!"... yeah, ok...

Cats, and cat owners, are disgusting. People that rub cats against their faces, and even kiss them, might as well just go ahead and lick the cats a-hole while theyre at it. I'll kick a cat as if i were trying to hit a 50yard goal, long before they got anywhere near my shoes.

But dogs aren't any cleaner than cats... IMO.

Bruh don't act like dogs don't lick their balls and pecker all day and then lick people's faces. How do you feel about a dog that just got done licking his pecker after he was with a female dog and then licks your face because you bent down to give him a hug lol. Animals are not clean my friend, well most of them anyway.

Hahaha you comment on cats being disgusting, but forget dogs eat their own s**t, sniff each other's buttholes. Their mouths are a cess pool of bacteria.

3 words: Wet Dog Smell.

Also, I've never seen cats eat poop (not saying it hasn't happened, but I've never seen it). Dogs will root through the ground to eat poop. And then they want to lick your face.

this is YOUR opinion. but I hope youre not implying dogs are in any way more sanitary or clean because that would just make your opinion sound invalid. Taking it further calling cat owners disgusting now just sounds hateful, we get it youre nasty person now go hug a stray dog.

Guys, you're missing the point. The task that you would have to perform in order to score the free Wi-Fi would be entirely up to Purple. You would have had no say in the matter!

Alan F.

But really - the point is, bearing this information I will be sure to drop a deuce next time I'm in the Outback mate. When you happen upon a fit in the loo so bad you can't breathe you can thank Alan for that...

This is a good way to get people to do charity work though... "For every hour you log community service activities, a company provides 500mb of data"

I thought my employers WiFi stunk. This brings us to new heights (or lows), talk about taking the cake (or sh*t-pie)...
