The Z1C should be crowned Smartphone of the Year 1. It is has no overall equal. 2. Unlike any other smartphone made in 2014, it doesn't need a successor.

I would get the S5 Mini if the price of it is lower than Z1C but if the price of it is same as Z1C or higher I would get the Z1C Lol

only if it is half of Z1C price, otherwise there is no reason to buy it. there are much better phones even for half price (i.e. Nubia from this text), and if you like the lookor you from all android's like just samsung, then there are S4 for 30% lower price then this peace of crap

Z1 Compact, but it's still a bit too big for my preferences. What happened to this world, that 4,7-4,8 screens are considered mini? Am I supposed to wait for micro series?

If the z1 compact had a removable battery, I would've owned it already. Bring on s5 mini. Take my money

I cannot take the z1 seriously. The main or the mini. Same for Oppo, ZTE, or Huawei. The reality is that if it's GSM only, that cuts out over 150 million American subscribers. I appreciate the wireless insiders and fans on this site but it is a super vast minority in the reality of wireless. No amount of nerd rage will ever stand up to a mass market. Ask Apple. They have it cornered, sadly.

Could You elaborate on that? What cuts out over 150 million American subscribers? is there some kind of band, that is not supported? GSM only? -3G, LTE, WIFI is not GSM only. I'm not trying to attack anybody. I just like knowing things about electronics, and since I live across the ocean from You, I don't know, what are You talking about. I would appreciate, if You could explain, what technology is Z1 missing.

He's mad because he has Sprint - a CDMA based carrier in the US that's terrible and isn't compatable with most phones from around the world. GSM > CDMA

It'd be up to Sprint and Verizon to get Sony to make phones for them. Verizon doesn't allow unlocked phones, and Sprint has too few customers for a manufacturer to produce an unlocked CDMA phone.

After seeing improvement that Sony do in terms of updates, with the launch of Android 4.4.4 for Z1 Compact. There is no doubt for me to choose Z1 Compact over the other "mini" phone. I understand some people prefer samsung pentile amoled and user removeable battery over the IPS and non user removeable battery on thr Z1 Compact. But for me Z1 Compact screen is more than enough thanks to high brightness and contras, there is also X-Reality to make images and videos more clearer, sharper and colorful. Z1 Compact has impresive battery life even without some power saving mode, but there is also Stamina Mode, Low Battery Mode, Location Based Wi-Fi and queuing background data if i need to improve battery life and magnetic connector would make charging much more easier than micro usb or wireless charging. If all of that is not enough power case like thishttp://shop.brando.com/Power-Jacket-For-Sony-Xperia-Z1-compact-Z1f-3200mAh_p10993c1659d003.html will make Z1 Compact last longer.

What's the point of mini device when you can get similar spec Moto G for less than half of price. Moto G also comes with almost stock Android which is better than any of them.

i don't get it!!! is there really so many folls that would give 480 euros (600$) for this samsung's "mini"!? in this moment it has 13% of votes, more then 230 people....i don't know are they too much money or sammy is paying them, mayby they are samsung lovers, but even if so, i gues they don't know there are still S4 for lower price
