This time around, the 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB versions of the PlayBook, essentially all models, are now priced at $299 through RIM’s Shop BlackBerry store online. Of course, $299 for the 16GB and 32GB versions is higher than the prices we’ve seen flaunted of late...

Still way to much...fire sale that thing like hp did with the touchpad for 99.00 and the thing will sell.

Oddly enough, I think $99 is still too much to pay for it. All you can do is surf the web on it and use a handful of so-so apps. Touchpad was a much better deal...in fact I think the TP at full price is a better deal than the PB at discounted prices.

Thats not true. QNX platform was built with the ability to use android apps as well as blackberry apps.. so as soon as its enabled officially (i think i just read an article where it was hacked in anyways), that opens it up to hundreds of thousands of new apps.

I am very interested in seeing how the Playbook works with Blackberry Bridge. It appears that the Playbook can browse the web via Bluetooth connection with one's Blackberry smartphone. This means one can tether for free? Awesome!
