LOL guys, in Singapore the reviewer for the digital times (newspaper) rated it a 3/5. the benchmarks of the z was also lower than the Optimus G n SGS3, like wtf??!!! Some of the reviewers are just biased but not this one. It ain't the best phone but it's the perfect phone for me :))

See what CNET has reviewed. CNET has never given a Sony phone high mark. But this is the only Sony phone which has scored this much.

You must be a APPLE and SAMSUNG Fanboy. I am currently having two device Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5 and you know what my bro is having SONY XPERIA SL and i can't stop using his device. No other brand can match the quality of SONY. SAMSUNG make shitty plastic phones which feels cheap in your hand.

If i were you I would have given 9.5 to XPERIA Z. This is a pure beast.

If you are still into doing sony reviews then please please hire someone who is not against SONY. Your way of reviewing SONY Phones are just ugly.

meh...Sony's smart phone line up is just like their Viao computers, forgettable. the UI looks awful as well as the designs. a high spec sheet isn't everything. not sure what the fuss is about but IMO, next...

Sorry to say that if you are planning on buying an xperia in Australia, I would think twice if you wanted Sony Ericson Service along with that. My new AcroS died literally, 3 weeks after buying it and had to send it to a contracted service agent "Fonebiz". No one in my state answered my calls so had to call Sydney. Told to send it down. Did that non 4th Feb 2013. after two weeks with my new phone I was told it would be in my post box in two days. Did not arrive so again I called Fonebiz in Sydney. Now im told the phone needed a part that is currently not available and 150 other customers are awaiting the same part for various models. So its off to sony Customer service Australia, who are in New Zealand and was told to fill in a complaint form that they eventually emailed to me the next day. Now today I spoke to the customer service boss called Sam ( also a contractor) who has given me nothing but belligerent remarks about how things take time and all companies use contractors & Quote"If your new car broke down you wouldnt expect it to be fixed any quicker. (Maybe thats the case in NZ) but not in Australia. They have had my new phone for 3 weeks. And they are useing "Contractors to hide there own lack of regard for the customer" Anyone want to buy a 1 mth old Acro S Cause I am Over Sony Ericson.

Hey Ray.S - Can you make a Xperia Z vs Lumia 920 review? They both have the best build quality around with the Z being IP57, and the Lumia looking like a tank, Oh and when you or anyone else review the ZL (I hope): Write what you think of the speaker performance, opposed to the Z. I've got a feeling that the IP57 stuff takes a toll on the phones features.The screen there also appears to be livelier.

yeah thats sad 8.5 should be higher the only down fall is battery they made a z and zl one of the 2 should of had a monster battery technology is moving fast but like always batteries lag behind. this phone does kick a$$ even video and photos are great.

lovely phone but terrible battery life and i mean terrible even when not used just seems to drain away,and the sim tray holder is diabolical just bit of cheap plastic tray,very similar outlay to rest of soys phones but the screen is amazing and ultra clear just the battery and sim tray is a big let down,but for all round function and quality still have to give it 8 out 10

Do not believe the haters. Sony Xperia Z's screen is absolutely awesome and if the HTC One's screen is the benchmark, watch the side by side comparison and dare say to me the HTC One is better! Link below.

I think both are great with true, natural colours which pop out at you as opposed to over saturated unnatural colours on AMOLED!

Sony Xperia T has a cool design, a superb screen and very nice performance thanks to a decent hardware and Sony's light launcher. However battery life is not so good and it does not come with any added value software but with some bloatware.

I'm not a Sony fan, but personally I would rate this Xperia Z a higher score than just 8.5 out of 10.
A friend just bought it, from the feel of build and user interface experience it's impressive. Of course some guys don't like the too much of square square built body, to me that really really up to person to person preference.
Oh just in case you guys didn't see it yet, try Google around for "Xperia Z L36H hot pot cook test". Be sure you watch the whole video clip, though the video clip is narrated in Chinese.
