Samsung Gravity 3 Review

Performance and Conclusion:

Call quality was so-so with the Samsung Gravity 3.  Callers complained that we sounded overly nasally and as if we were in a cave.  They could distinctly hear a lot of background noise as well.  To us they sounded a bit quiet and the audio was very thin, though we didn’t have any real issues understanding what was being said.  Battery life is rated at 6 hours of talk time and over 16 days of standby which should be more than plenty.

There are some definite shortcomings with the Samsung Gravity 3, and in the end we were left feeling as if it was an uninspired phone.  It’s not that we expect greatness from such a basic device, but we got the impression that this phone was simply churned out of the factory with no real regard to performance or features.  It is nearly exactly like all other mid-range messaging phones with nothing to differentiate itself from the pack.

Last month I purchased a Samsung Gravity 3. Already had to return it due to reception issues (lack of) and also speaker issues. My previous phone was a razor with TMobile service and reception was fine. My second Gravity 3 also has the same reception and speaker issues. When in Anchorage people form Anchorage who call me get a message that says my phone is not in service. When I'm in the lower 48 my friends in Anchorage say there are gaps where my voice is blocked. When in the Western US messages I leave on phones in the Western US are garbled. When the volume is turned up it sounds like the speaker is blowm and it is difficult to understand some folks. I will be returning my second Gravity 3 tomorrow! As a last note - the time display is ridiculously small and cannot be adjusted. At this time I would say thumbs DOWN for this phone.

If you are listening music, you can't do anything else! :( Installing java apps and games it's a nightmare...

Is an OK Phone. Blue tooth is the only option, which is not good in my opinion. I hate bluetooth since it is a struggle to hear, garbage technology.
