Galaxy S4 (Exynos version) has Wolfson inside. That's the biggest argument for some people to buy the thing so is mine

True, the wolfson dacs used on Galaxy flagships are truly amazing!
My GNOTE II(with uNEAK kernel) can drive my HD650 without the help of any external dac/amp.

70% of GS4 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 600. So, Its a fail argument.

Correction, the S4 will only be powered by the Snapdragon600 in the LTE markets (UK, US, AU, SOME countries in Asia, and some in Europe), the rest of the world were we got no LTE (like Latin America, Africa), we are getting the Exynos 5 Octa

actualy no u wrong, exynos 5 supports lte but they have problem with the stock so 70% of the first 10 millions were made with the 600. Thats what samsung says in twitter.

Sense 5 is much more cartoonish than Touchwiz..the momment you see the app drawer, the lockscreen....not the settings part though....HTC HAD a good UI way back, I think was the first Sense and other 2 maybe...that awesome clock widget, their own widgets that everybody copied from HTC Hero....that phone brought me to Android..i didnt buy it, cuz it was not available in my country...i always watched on youtube and admired HTC phones at that time, not because of the design, but the UI...that first 4.3 inch phone with microsoft OS was amazing...that UI was the most beautiful from HTC IMO, that weather animation and lots of cool things. Eveybody wanted a HTC because of the UI....I thinks they lost that touch.

Yes there really cannot be a better phone between the two but still you gave 9.3 to s4.

samsung takes 9.3 because of micro sd slot and replaced battery

The GS4 is the better phone clearly. They just threw HTC a bone and took the easy way out with a politically correct tie. They don't want to be swamp with retarded "HTC rules you are biased for liking fisher price toys" posts.

Ultimately, both devices are very appealing and offer incredible software features. It's upto each user to decide which handsets is best tailored to there individual needs!
I prefer both!

Galaxy s4 all the way... If you way everything up and I mean everything the galaxy s4 is the superior phone. But HTC deserve a lot of credit they have created a masterpiece that will give consumers choice if they don't prefer the s4.

i don't think s4 is really that superior against htc one. it's true that s4 has removable battery and sd card expansion, not to mention also exynos octa.

however, not all users are going to use all of the power that s4 gives out. some users use their phone lightly, some of them prefer metal than plastic and there's no argument htc will be a better media phone with better screen and dual front firing speaker. snapdragon 600 is also no slouch, i don't think even the current android can use the full potential of the processor

Really? on side by side picture, S4 has like one more row over One.. thats quite noticeable in my books..

One more row? Which picture are we looking at? Samsung has 4 rows, 2 for the clock widget, one for Google, and one for icons, HTC has 4, one for clock widget, one for Google, and one open. Look at pics before commenting.

3.7, 4, 4.3, 4.7, 5 inches
sounds like we all are dumb. every year they raise the size a little more, we won't notice a bit, but still empty our pockets?

HTC did a great effort here and came close to the victory flag. But the S4 is above the edge once again.

I'll get the S4 instead.

HTC ONE is better: design, matterials, premium feel, display, low light and macro camera performance, video recording, sound, call quality, stereo speakers, Sense5 is NOT a bloated skin like TW. SGS 4 is like a SGS 3S, same boring design, cheap materials, a bunch of software gimmicks. I've had the SGS 2 and the SGS 3, I'm done with Samsung. They are going the Apple way, android fans are not sheeps Samsung, shame on you. HTC ONE FTW!

I don't care about industrial design nor feels in the hand. The camera on the HTC ONE is a complete failure. The phone is good, but the S4 is better overall. We can't hide the Sun with one finger. Let's see who sells more units ;)

Samsung offers me more for my money.

S4 for me, main reason for me is the bigger screen and battery in a smaller device and also because of removable storage and battery.. My brother is getting the HTC one mainly due to the aluminum build and front speakers.

I like both designs. It's true!

S4 looks way better than S III. IMHO! *CLARIFIES* And HTC One looks exquisite.

I'm getting, tough,Samsung Galaxy S4 due to its flexibility.

I can use it with gloves (like Nokia Lumia 920) and exchange its battery and add more memory via microSD card. That alone is a plus that HTC One can't match yet.

And I prefer bigger screens too. Sammy, come to papa!

One will offer one of the most premium designs and UIs while S4 will give us the best experience of perfect optimization and software richness
love them both.

The Galaxy Design is atrocious, particularly the black model. However it could probably take a beating better than the HTC as the aluminum body (sans case) would be probably be scratched up to Hell within a few weeks.

Galaxy S4 with it's software development and implementation of features as well as user enhancements sdcard expansion and removable battery. Htc One for it's crafted design and blinkfeed and boom sound speakers in the front clever idea definitely. It's all subjective i prefer Galaxy S4.

Just the fact that the GS4 with a 5 inch screen feels significantly smaller than the HTC One with a 4.7 inch screen tells you which handset is better. The HTC One is just way too big for a 4.7 inch phone.

Add in the guaranteed HTC quality control issues and you have another major HTC fail. Sorry HTC, no matter how many amps or speakers you put in it still doesn't justify the size. This is almost as bad as a fail as the giant brick Nokia Lumia 920.

It's funny how you folks bicker over a bezel or buttons or how many icons are on the screen. Phones are phones they are not a DSLR or a gaming system and they are not a mass storage device. Bottom line is we buy a phone to use as a phone. I bet if you took both phones out to a fringe area you'll see that the HTC will have a better radio in it and get a better signal over the Samsung.
Why is all lost on everything but what the phone is for a phone, why are there never any tests of which radio inside is better. It's all about gimicks and gadgets the phones can do.
the differeneces here are screen size type of screen and what they are made out of. Damn folks everything else is the same on the inside. If you want gimmicks you can download them in the app store if one particular model don't have what another does. What I want in a phone is it to work when I need it to when I'm outside the city and in those fringe areas. I also want it to last an entire day on moderate to heavy use as well. The rest of the stuff is to me is junk that I disable as it is anyhow.
One last thing lets see how many of you go drooling over the Moto X or the nexus 5 when it finally shows some light.

Because those things matter.....

If you want call quality, use a cordless phone or an older brick indestructible Nokia of the 90's.

How it fits in your pocket, how it feels in your hand, how comfortable it is to use the buttons are all pretty important things for a portable phone. And guess who wins in those areas easily? Yup, the GS4.

Really? show me a cordless phone that works 100 miles from home? hell show me one that works within a mile from home? Lets be real here I said a phone to use in fringe areas not at your home or in the office. I say you're right on the pocket thing Samsung will have stay in your pockets once you leave a major metroploitan area as there radios inside just don't have what it takes to use as a phone once you get away from the cell towers or wifi.

Haha so the true nature of your post comes out. My GS3 was fine in all signal areas.

And if you wanted to prop up the HTC, you would have been better off not mentioning battery life.

Nature of my post is to get past the gimmicks and test these phones in real world circumstances away from wifi and a cell tower nearby. Battery life is important and regardles of the brand if it can't make it thru a day of moderate to heavy use then what good is it?
I myself need a phone that works in the fringe areas and to have a decent battery. I've yet to see any samsung phone gold a good signal against the HTC and the Motorola phones. That can even be proven in the stores just turn off wifi on them and go check the signal strengths.

And in what kind of bizarro world does HTC have better reception than Samsung phones. I couldn't even use my bluetooth headset with it, I had to buy some ear phones with a mic to talk to my gf.
