Samsung Galaxy S4 vs Apple iPhone 5
0. phoneArena 27 Mar 2013, 09:09 posted on
Both Apple and Samsung produce wonderful products. Let's take, for example, the Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5! Both are amazing smartphones with their own strengths and weaknesses. Obviously, neither can claim to be better than the other, but if we look closely, we can identify the areas where one has an advantage over the other and vice versa. Surprise, surprise - that's exactly what we'll do right now...

Trust me if you put the phones together you will barely notice a glaring difference. The comparison was done through a microscopic view of the screens. IPhone 5 produces better whites and the GS4 has better color saturation.
But sorry, the GS4 still bitch slaps the IPhony 5 no matter how you cut it. And the Note 3 will demolish the competition.

Yeah and Charlieze Theron will give me a blow job just after Note 3 will demolish my ping-pong pallet...
I don't have to trust you more than I do phonearena wich says S4 display is worse than iPhone's.
Viewing angles are not checked under the microscop and S4 is bad (albeit better than the worst's screen: S3's).
Color is also bad; if you like oversaturated, go with S4's ugly screen but if you want natural colors, iPhone is the way.
Sure, I can't say how you should spend your money but don't insult my inteligence saying S4 is better than iPhone just because it is bigger; get a tablet if bigger is what you want.

It is better my delusional friend. Obviously you are a ride-or-die Flapple fanboy and it's all good. If you wanna choose to ignore the fact that Samsung is gradually changing the mobile market with it's products whether you disagree it's innovative or not then that's your choice. Call their features novelties if want but that S4 is really something to build on.
You can't deny that Flapple is only keeping up with what's going on the smartphone market. Think about it, now they are starting to put NFC in that IPussy 5s that's coming out later when it's been in Android smartphones since 2009.
Since you "so hate big screens so much" then why was Apple forced to make their phone 4 inches taller even though one of their impediments was bigger screens. I'll tell you why, because pressure from their customers made them do it. If Apple stuck to that puny 3.5 inch screen, IPhones would have been obselete. Tech media outlets would of ripped them a new one.
They saw what Android phones were doing and basically to stay in the race, they just made incremental changes but nothing new, nothing innovative.
Tell me why would they have to make an "Why IPhone" page to remind customers of their "love" for their phones which is by the way sickening in every way. I mean it's just a phone for Pete's sake. An inferior one at that but I'll tell you why. "THEY ARE SCARED" and they know Samsung is the only one giving them competition.
Heck the only phone really giving the S4 a run for it's money is the HTC One. Another phone that bitch slaps the f**k out of your IPussy 5. Face it man, GS4 and the HTC one the pimps of smartphones right now and your IPussy 5 is just a f**kin whore.

First off, like most extremists in anything, those who do the finger pointing and throw out the cheap labels are typically suffering the most from what they accuse others of doing.
By the time the SG4 is actually released to market, the iphone 5 will have been out for 7 months. However, money says, when the ip5 came out and destroyed the SG3, probably not a word from someone like you about it.
Based on writing like a 10 year old out of the ghetto, you are obviously not smart enough to realize that everything you accuse others of doing, you are doing yourself. The biggest laugh is your ridiculous 'when the note 3 comes out' rant...

I have no idea where you came from but thanks for putting your two cents, it's well appreciated. And I assure sir I am not from some impoverished neighborhood as you so claim. But I tend to like adding a little robustness and fervor to my comments so I wont make it sound so dull.
And now I would like to rebut your debate by saying "DUH". Of course if a device comes out 7 months after it's direct competitor like Samsung dropped it's phone you'd expect the IPhone to be a little better. But then Samsung dropped the Note 2 and it was clearly better than the IPhone 5 so whats your point.
My intention was to go at bloggers like Mr Leo here because he decided to attack some recent posts on people picking the GS4 over the IPhone 5. It's one thing if you wanna argue that your phone is better than the next persons phone but to be malicious about it is something I don't respect. So I gave him a taste of his own medicine and I took him on.
If you actually read some of my comments thoroughly you would of seen that I praised other companies for stepping up their game and exercised objectivity when discussing these phones. Nokia, BlackBerry, Sony, HTC are all making great phone this year. It's ultimately going to come down to who's got the most influence in marketing power.
Oh and Note 3 is going to be a big deal. Literally!

I don't know what "Flapple" or "iPussy" means.
What I know is: S4 has a worse display - Phonearena said it; worse call quality - I also know it from Phonearena, worse camera (I've seen low light shots), wores user experience (Android still lags), slower browsing (again, I've seen it being tested), worse design (my oppinion and the one of all the people that gave prizes to Apple for their desingn; I don't remember S3 receiving any praises for it's design...)
So - for me - S4 is a worse phone than iPhone 5; if you think the other way, it's just because you're a marketing victim that's just being wrong; now be a good boy and go pay 600 euro for a piece of sh*tty plastic.

Look I already served you, Leo_MC. And why does your name have MC in it. MC means Master of Ceremonies but it's obvious your getting schooled like my pupil.
Look bottom line is this, if your looking for a phone because of it's aesthetics and design and you feel IOS is simple to use then sure go for your IPhone 5. It's definitely a perfect device for a simp such as yourself.
And I plan to buy my GS4 from T-Mobile when it comes out for $99 down payment with no contract. The only device I would ever consider paying full price for is for a Galaxy Note because of it's tech forward capabilities which it's sure to embrace and definitely would be at least $300 cheaper than an IPhone.
I frigging laughed my pants off when I look online and saw that the IPhone was selling for nearly $1,200 off contract. Kinda made me wish I had one so I can sell it to gullible folks such as yourself with a $30 adapter since ICrap makes the "coolest adapters" right. So when you look at it $600 doesn't actually look so bad now does it.
And again when it comes to screen quality it is a matter of personal taste. If you want bright whites than go with the IPhone. You want deep colors and more pronounced sharpness than go with a 1080p screen and that's with any device.
And you wanna talk design well according to "PhoneArena" since it's your obviously tech bible they did a comparison between your little rectangle device and the HTC One and the HTC One won "HANDS DOWN" on build quality and design and praised Sense 5 on it's UI and usability.
And I didn't say the Galaxy was the most premium looking device that's out there but it's built quite solid and holds it's own even though it is plastic. Dude I'm done with you. Please don't comment on my post no more, you have no valid points and your ranting is not respected. "YOU'VE BEEN SERVED"!

And I hope Apple adds more of those lovely black bars on the side of that beautiful 4 inch "Retina" screen on that coming to that 5s. Now that's screen quality! (Sarcastically laughing). :P

One finds stupidity where one doesn't think it exists; I find stupidity everywhere.
The relevance of my nickname in regard to this subject only a deranged mind knows...
Go buy that bad screen (If I want cartoons, I look at cartoons; my phone screen better be having natural colors), bad call quality, too big for a pocket size hunk of ugly plastik and stop bothering me.
136. rdemon (Posts: 49; Member since: 23 Aug 2012)
If you are looking for stupidity, look no further than your unintelligent comments. Later Leonardo!

These guys don't know what they are talking about. Unlike most of these kids, I actually have the note 2, sg3, iphone 5, and nokia 920. For starters, the win mobile platform alone, with the awesome tiles, runs circle around crapdroid.
Who gives two hoots if you can enter 500 menus and customize it down to a pixel. Excluding the cheapskates and does the job types, most people just want a quality smartphone that works. XDA types are a very small niche market. In addition, people want rock solid back-to-back customer service. Applecare+ is amazing, I get my phone replaced and up and running within 30 minutes.
When it comes to specs, Android needs the 10,000 cores to get the GUI to be as smooth and responsive as ios or win phone. What about the fragmented updates, where I have to go searching to see which handset is running what. The 7 month old IP5 still leads the sunspider type stats, where it counts for smartphones.
Like I said, I have them all and android can be fun to customize. However, if I want phones that work well and have a fantastic build quality, then I go with the ip5 or the n920.

thats Amoled, Amoled cant really stand that fight coz it's about real colors..
but the fact that we love viewing videos pictures hanging around the UI playing w/ it while having that gorgeous popping screen cant be taken away from us..
the quality of it is different from the perdpective of LCDs with realistic colors

No Leo, GS4 is better because it has
Better battery life/ bigger battery
New touch techology with hover touch/ glove usable
Better screen to phone ratio
Oh yeah almost forgot, bigger screen, better OS and dare I say better Camera
118. bobolicious (Posts: 19; Member since: 20 Jan 2013)
Exactly!!! surely he cant respond bad to this as this is all true lol
66. sudhar131998 (Posts: 63; Member since: 06 Sep 2011)
as the others said the display and camera are top notch (not exactly top) but remember that you can also attend the calls with earphones, doesn't always has to be the earpiece if you are bugged by it
71. rdemon (Posts: 49; Member since: 23 Aug 2012)
And you know these things because you've obviously tested the S4 your self right! Dude, it's not a fair comparison. This is clearly a pre demo unit. IPhone 5 had a lot of time to be updated and optimized till then. At least wait until the S4 officially comes out, then you can reserve judgement.
104. donfem (Posts: 649; Member since: 30 Mar 2011)
I guess you probably have a problem understanding the word "worse"
154. mobilegod (Posts: 3; Member since: 12 Aug 2013)
please die man S4 is better in all aspects than the iPhone 5. and the same design for 6 generations get over it
97. imran86 (Posts: 174; Member since: 14 Sep 2012)
This is not a fair comparison. iPhone 5 should be compared to Galaxy S2 from 2010 and then see who wins.
2. lee480 (Posts: 197; Member since: 24 Sep 2012)
Xperia Z beats the both. Though S4 has the slight edge to the iphone. Dislikes coming!
7. eliasafram7 (Posts: 83; Member since: 18 Mar 2013)
slight edge??? are u stupid or blind or what?? the difference is very wild like the difference between the earth and sky
11. alila2 (Posts: 157; Member since: 01 Nov 2011)
when they first revealed the gs4 i was kinda disappointed with the design , but now after all these comparisons with htc one xperia z and the iphone five and after all these new info about software , specs and capabilities it's becoming more of a winner except for it's back design it's the ugliest most boring back of a phone i ever seen but hey i never carry a phone with out a thin back case.
19. MrKoles (Posts: 368; Member since: 20 Jan 2013)
You know, dislikes are coming cause you said something irrelevant and stupid
47. kclgphilsbsa (Posts: 765; Member since: 21 Jan 2013)
cmon expect dislikes..
xperia Z was actually made obosolete by htc one and galaxy s4,
i bet that even htc butterfly and oppo5 will throw that faulty flagship..
you and ur 4 followers or even.more are kinda desperate to raise ur innocence and inability to read and comprehend reviews..

"you'll be surprised at how polished and competent this phone feels."
This sentence shows everything. No contest for iPhone on PhoneArena.,
A 7 years old UI with almost everything the same can make me surprised, OMG so surprised.
4. slannmage (Posts: 148; Member since: 26 Mar 2013)
At this point they're all good phones, buy whatever you like best and shut up.
8. ebubekir26 (Posts: 321; Member since: 21 Dec 2012)
this shouldn't even be posted, you know S4 $hits all over the iPhone
9. wando77 (Posts: 890; Member since: 23 Aug 2012)
SAMSUNG'S PHONE IS MADE OF CHEAP PLASTIC?
What is the entire front made of?
What are the sides made from?
Only the back plate is plastic and it needs to be to address one of the things you hate about the iPhone.....user replaceable battery.
