Samsung Galaxy Note II vs LG Optimus 4X HD

The LG Optimus 4X HD is LG’s best Android handset while we are waiting on the Optimus G to come up, and it merits a comparison with Samsung’s finest - the Galaxy Note II. Both phones come with large screens, fast processors and 8MP cameras, but the Note II is not for everybody, because of its huge size, while the Optimus 4X HD is more of a daily driver. Which one is for you? Read on to find out....

the note 2 seems to be better on every aspect, you just have to swallow its size if you can.

Samsung and its engineers are very proud on their beast (Note 2). This phone is just killing every smartphone on this planet.
I have got around 35 friends in my friend circle and 29 of us did a pre - order for Note 2. Come to papa :)

Lg needs to either put full attention into their phones or stop selling them. Disappointed kinda.

LG should stick to making Washers and Dryers :P

Note is clearly beating every aspect between them... The only advantage LG has is it's pocketable size.

...but it has no microSD card slot nor a removable battery (and thus no possibility for an extended Mugen-battery) which is important for some...
Hence I will NOT ever buy it. Show me a quadcore S4 handset with removable battery and micro-SDcard slot and I will take notice. For now all the new upcoming S4 Krait handsets ALL have the same flaws! So screw them.
Even the asus padphone hasn't got a MicroSD-card slot anymore. :-(
So I might as well look indeed for an 'old' SGSIII or this model which might become even cheaper when the Optimus G comes along.
If only Sony for once made that perfect handset WITH microSD-slots, damn! But they too always lag behind.. why do they even bother making smartphones at all!!!
And if all else fail then I will settle for that Nokia 808. It has also an FM-transmitter and a much better camera than any of the present and upcoming Android models. Plus it record calls even over bluetooth headsets/carkits.

These articles are always so diplomatic. I wish once the conclusion would be "this phone is just better, you are dumb if you don't choose it."

Phonearena's Job is to show the differences Between the two. Not to tell you what you should Buy. That's your MOM'S job.

LG's user interface is so boring on many aspects like the icons and apps presentations instead of touchwiz UI animations and the multitasking function is also useful
I will vote for Galaxy Note although is almost exactly like the galaxy sIII despite of its round corners and s-pen

Good lord what a smack down, that LG phone just got handed it's rear end. Honestly those photos looked terrible, over exposed and color reproduction was bad. The IPS screen is wasted on this thing, high count means nothing when you are running a processor that turns the phone into a hot pocket when you use it, horrible battery life to go along with a non battery saavy processor, LG must have gotten those Tegra 3's a bargain basement prices and had to stick them somewhere.
LG phones are always a let down in too many areas to warrant anyone purchasing them, I'm not even going to talk about that horrible looking cartoony UI, what is that mess? I looked at the Optimus G and even having such a redundant sounding name, the phone is already looking like it's going to fall short yet again. It's like LG's guy aren't even paying attention to competition at all, just outing the first this and that but it's so half assed, they might as well have not even tried.
Note II will eat the Optimus G for breakfast as well, what's the point of releasing a phone with such a tiny battery and densely packed high resolution screen. LG needs to get some balance, don't give me some awesome LCD but a crappy battery and rinky dink camera.

Meh, no matter what the pixel density is amoled screens suck when comparing to IPS. The only reason companies use amoled is because it's cheaper - and for good reason.
