Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus Review
voices sound a bit muffled in the earpiece, and the overall volume is rather low. On the other side they could hear us with fairly good volume, but a slight hissing was present.
The 1300mAh battery of the Galaxy Ace Plus is smaller than the usual 1500mAh unit Samsung places in most of its Android handsets, and there aren't official talk numbers yet, but our superficial impressions showed that it fared no better or worse than other Android handsets at that level – a day and a half with moderate usage should drain your battery to its limits.
The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus would have made a more lasting impression on us as the first Android handset from Samsung for the year, if it wasn't for the almost insignificant upgrades from its predecessor. A year later we get the same design, lousy HVGA resolution on a slightly larger screen, and the obligatory 1GHz CPU.
Its biggest problem is the price though. While it is about the same as the original Ace, a year later the market can offer lots of alternatives. And there are better phones for roughly the same money – models that were more expensive but got affordable as they got older.
The Sony Ericsson Xperia neo, for example, is currently cheaper than the Arc, although it is better in any aspect. For about the same price or slightly more, you can get other better smartphones like the LG Optimus Black, or the Sony Ericsson Xperia arc (with better screen, svelte design and camera that records 720p video). Granted, the prices we saw for the Galaxy Ace Plus are introductory, and are likely to fall down quickly, but it will still not be worth it in comparison.
Software version of the reviewed unit: 18.104.22.168
Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus Video Review:

You wonder if Samsung knows what they are doing. The most important thing after making a phone call is looking at the screen for a smartphone. Even the Exhibit II has a better display at 480 x 800 (WVGA) on the same 3.7" screen size.
Did Samsung run out of WVGA displays? Doesn't Samsung realize people spend a lot of time over a two year contract looking at the display on smartphones?? WTF??

There are many other options(which are much better) at almost the same price :
1. Sony Xperia Neo
2. Sony Xperia Neo V
3. LG optimus black
4. LG optimus 2X (dual core)
5. Samsung Galaxy R
6. Motorola Defy+
7. MOTOROLA MOTOLUXE (really great,cool) (http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_motoluxe-4404.php).
These phones are much better than Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, they have better optics, displays with higher resolution, pixel density, better processors and better build quality.

The glossy plastic is worse than the plastic in the original Galaxy Ace.

Insignificant CPU upgrade from its predecessor? You're talking about a 800Mhz ARM11 vs a 1Ghz Cortex A5. The later is quite a bit faster, don't fall for a direct mhz comparison. These are two different processors, the Cortex would be faster than a ARM11 even if both were running at the same clock speed. The ARM11 can't even run Adobe Flash.
