B2700’s software doesn’t offer any great extras, but offers everything a phone from this class should. That includes theme creator, user-friendly phonebook (no second name search), e-mail with automatic settings support and multiple organizing functions (calendar, alarms, World clock, tasks etc.). The only additional features are the pedometer and the compass, which is equipped with altimeter as well. Calibrating it is a strange process (you have to rotate the device as shown on the display) and we didn’t think it was very precise. We will share our detailed opinion with you in the review of a final unit.

The phone can be used worldwide but unfortunately, its 3G support is limited to Asia and Europe only. It has a WAP browser, instead of an HTML one and we are not very happy with it. You’ll still be able to load heavy pages but the navigation is difficult due to the lack of pan view.

The phone is equipped with a 2-megapixel camera with no
flash, which offers the basic functions such as white balance, timer
and effects. You also have the standard user-friendly music player, FM
radio and video playback although the small display is not very
convenient for watching clips.

As we’ve already mentioned, shock-, dust- and splash-resistant devices are a rare find and we are intrigued by B2700’s performance in hard conditions. If you are interested as well, expect our full in-depth review.
