Pantech Flex Review

Being Pantech and all, they have this reputation in the mobile industry as being a value based manufacturer, which is rightfully so considering the unprecedented amount of inexpensive devices they bring to the market. As we’ve witnessed, they tried desperately to make a splash in the Android scene, but thus far, they haven’t been able to bring to market a true competitor. Bogged down for so long, we might finally have a worthwhile competitor, as the $50 on-contract Pantech Flex aims to flaunt its muscles with its sharp industrial design and contemporary hardware specs...

I am glad Pantech is making budget friendly phones. This phone is perfect for the customers that aren't willing to give up a bunch of dough. This has decent look, sturdy, nice camera's and screen and has a good proccessor.
What more could you get for $50, or possible FREE in a month or two.

"Unfortunately, it’s nearly impossible to see outdoors with the sun present, as the display washes out"...these set of words already made the decision for me. Outdoor visibility is very important for me, as i don't want my other hand to hover around when i'm typing away.
And wow, the lock screen is just so...ugly??

I have had this phone for about a month now. I am very impressed with the battery life. The phone has very good Volumes and great antenna. I have not lost a call yet on this phone. I have had no issues using this phone outside though any touch screen smart phone could easily face issues is sunlight. One thing really great is the speed in which it powers up. The Flex is a 4 star customer friendly phone in my book. There has been no issue with this phone and it out performs in it's class. Though the I Phone may be the rage, but this phone is much more user friendly. Better battery, better Volumes, and better Antenna. This is my experience with this phone and I'd buy it again.

Would love to see greater things come from Pantech. If they have the hardware part down, then the rest is easy. Don't mess with android and get a better camera. I love that it has on screen keys but pentile? NO! qHD can pass on an LCD display but not amoled. I really wish they take this phone, make the screen a 4.7" 720P, minimize the bezels, make the battery a little bigger. I'm a sucker for hardware I guess.
