I also would choose Sony Xperia Z instead of Oppo Find 5.

...you're refering to something that has not been released as yours??

Well.... I'll be getting it as soon as it gets released in March because there's no scope of getting a Find 5 here in India.

With an SD card this would've EASILY be the best phone on the market.
Definitely worth more than 8!
Look at the price!

If it had a Samsung or HTC badge, I'm sure you would give it a 8. 7 at the very least, Daniel.
Piss poor criteria and review quality if you ask me

First you say it's worth more than an 8, then you say if it was a Samsung or HTC phone, they would give it an 8. It does have an 8. Do you even have any idea wtf you're saying?

I'm the one embarrassing myself?
I'm sorry to say, but had you been able to use your brain, you'd discern that I stated 8.7 in my comment.

I agree with you to a certain extent...If they slap an HTC or samsung logo on it, put Nature UX or Sense 4+ on it and use HTC complicated cellphone camera algorithims to oversharpen images, slightly under expose them, and oversaturate reds, then they'd give it an 8.7 rating or higher.

Just my 2 cents...lol

I also like that the Android buttons are not taking a chuck off the 5" screen. Kinda odd that the Xperia Z has space down there yet they don't utilize it, separate droid buttons work just well, ask any Droid DNA owner. The Oppe Find 5 just looks great, so thin bezel and transparent notification area, it's one giant screen only broken by the white bottom of the holding area. A pity for the MicroSD, so the 32GB version is to get, plus there's probably no HDMI support, but otherwise it's a superb offering strangely getting less buzz now that it's out than when the rumors first came around August 2012. It's still the 2nd world-wide released fullHD phone, and one with a new-gen camera censor.

With all due respect, how's free space and weight an issue for the OF5 but wasn't for say the Droid DNA, an inferior phone with superior PA score? (lower antutu, battery life, camera quality).

I'm very highly impressed with the Sony Exmor RSV2 camera module which doesn't seem to be appreciated enough, plus the IPS screen is superior to the Z's TFT, not the mention the beefier battery, all that costing some $300 less. But I may still sit out this one for an A15 fullHD monster, but right now, overall performance, battery life and affordable price - 32gig version for $569 - the OF5 is a no-brainer.

Worse viewing angles, worse battery life, unrealistic price on that beast though, I'd love to have either, but when it comes to bang for the buck... IPS & 2500mAh is the way to go.

"...worse battery life..."

How do you know that if Sony Xperia Z is even not released yet?

As you love to talk about the facts, here is some for you:

Does Oppo Find 5 supports 4G as Sony Xperia Z? No!

Does Oppo Find 5 has microSD Slot as Sony Xperia Z? No!

Does Oppo Find 5 has 2.2MP Front Facing Camera as Sony Xperia Z? No!

Does Oppo Find 5 is dust and water resistant as Sony Xperia Z? No!

Does Oppo Find 5 has FM radio as Sony Xperia Z? No!

Does Oppo Find 5 has any specific technologies as Mobile BRAVIA Engine in Sony Xperia Z? No!

Oppo even unable to creat good global web page, then about what customers service and responsiblity we can talk about...

I hope that you now understand why Oppo Find 5 is cheaper than Sony Xperia Z.

"Genius", battery's capacity isn't only one aspect which determines how long battery will last. It was already proven many times before, so there is no need to spread unreasonable propositions about battery's life.

Early review supports this but hey, you buy one and let us know about it, chances are good however that you'll be too busy trying to figure out what does a TFT screen do on a $900 device - well good luck finding anything darker than grey haha. :).

Now back on topic, which is Oppo Find 5: sunlight performance is stellar as expected, so sharing mainly low-light, which is quite good too.

At the moment I don't pay any atention to any Sony Xperia Z comparisons with other smartphones because Sony Xperia Z is still not released and Sony Xperia Z in the comparison may be only a prototype not the final version.

Talking about pixels per inch Sony Xperia Z also has 441 density.

P.S.
Many of your links just doesn't work.

Screen, battery capacity and camera lens won't change from pre-release to box, and they are not satisfied on those fronts, but you're right, you should wait for the final release, but why troll about "your next phone" in an unrelated thread?

"Screen, battery capacity and camera lens won't change from pre-release to box..."

Yes, but software configurations may still change. For example displays calibration, cameras calibration, how long battery will last may also depend on software.

"but why troll about "your next phone" in an unrelated thread?"

Says person who previously used to troll about Oppo Find 5 on Sony Xperia Z articles...

Also I still not sure if Sony Xperia Z will be my next smartphone.

I love it how people like you think they know so much about everything.

Oppo Find5: WiFi Display!

Does Oppo Find5 have any specific technologies (yours is just a marketing gimmick...)? Is that what you said?

Cause I couldn't hear you over the Dirac HD stereo sound system while taking slow-mo videos @ 120fps and pictures in fast burst mode with hardware powered HDR...

But on the Xperia Z it says Sony... so maybe now it is understandable that it will cost $300 more...

"I love it how people like you think they know so much about everything."

I don't say that I know so much about everything and you don't know what I'm thinking so it is only your interpretation. I just stated already known technical configurations.

"Oppo Find5: WiFi Display!"

Sony Xperia Z also has Wireless Display Mirroring feature!

"Does Oppo Find5 have any specific technologies (yours is just a marketing gimmick...)? Is that what you said?"

No I was talking not about marketing gimmick, again it is only your interpretation.

"Cause I couldn't hear you over the Dirac HD stereo sound system while taking slow-mo videos @ 120fps and pictures in fast burst mode with hardware powered HDR..."

Sony Xperia Z also has HDR and Fast Burst Mode.
Talking about 120Fps, I'm pretty sure that hardware is capable of doing that, but not sure if Sony will allow that, anyway even if Sony will limit it, ther should be software solution for that. Just wait for official release and we will see.

Haha, I like how truth hurts some ppl. In any case, if your next device will have the Exmor RS, let it by the Xperia Z, OF5, iPhone 5S and I'm sure others, those will definitely perform as good a mid-range point&shooter except for Zoom. Now Nokia should put together the 808 lends to a modern OS phone and we'll have plenty of photography options.

Although Paying $349 for Nexus 4 16GB would be a smarter choice.

From the looks of it...the Droid DNA looks like the best of the lot. Saw a video of the Xperia Z and while the body is gorgeous, it's stuttery according to a review by Clove.uk. So despite the better looking UI among the three, Sony needs to harmonize Timescape with the hardware some more.

If this is the quality you expect to see on the experia z camera I'm going to pass.
The lumia 920 and Iphone 5 have more detailed images and better overall quality.
I am not impressed by the new Sony sensor at all!

OMG an SD card really isn't that important I store lots of movies on my Nexus through Play
movies I just stream them over data and wifi. Music is stored in a cloud and played over wifi and my pictures are stored on Google+ Instant upload. My books and magazines are the same play books and play magazines. An SD isn't that important and they are truly going out of style and if you don't use cloud based services then start using them it's only your loss to not use them

this isn't a fair review. i dont think it even mentioned the bi-weekly updates. I could be wrong, I only read through it once. I personally like what sony is doing in terms of hardware with the sony xperia z, but the direction oppo is taking in terms of software with the OF5 is awesome! sure on paper the xperia z might have more bells and whistles but it really all depends on personal preference. so the OF5 doesnt support LTE, thats no problem for me I have t-mobile, we dont have LTE anyway. I have no problem with no microSD slot, im using a 16gb nexus 4 right now and am having no problems with storage. fm radio? whyyyy?! the OF5 has tons of potential. don't just go by this review, do some research.. the OF5 biweekly updating is going to be awesome..
